Have a look at Yahoo questions for example.

Even the unbelievers have plenty to say about Him. I find that fascinating since why bother talking about something or someone that in their opinion don't exist.

Clearly by creating the Church with a particular structure and particular practices under the leadership of particular individuals with specific authority and responsibility it is Christ and Christ alone that has created this mindset in the Catholic faithful. There is no where else that they can appeal to the truth or receive what is necessary to assure eternal life. No church that has thrown Christ out of their worship both in corporeal presence and in focus of their worship can lay claim to anything but a marginal and accidental semblance of the truth that is held and protected in the Apostolic Churches for Christ gave His authority to no others. The gates of hell have not prevailed against His Church as the critics would proclaim but instead He is calling those home who are His and allowing all others to cry "Lord, Lord" as Christ acknowledges that He never knew them. Could it be that God allowed the tares to grow among the wheat for 1500 years and since has been preparing the harvest by separating them away to be burned bound in their bundles of denominationalism and independence? Sounds like the fruition of a parable to me.

If you expose yourself to certain things, it WILL change. Your opinions do change and your values do change. Now, for christians, we are to keep ourselves from "corruption".. But how many of you take this literally and avoid, rather than expose and reason out of partaking in it?

The practical dilemma for especially young christians --who haven't fully developed the rationales for moral behavior--may not be able to have good control over psychologically adjusting and readjusting and MONITORING the effects of outside influence on the mind.

A few hours ago I was at the check-out counter of "Atwoods".

The clerk reached over and unscrewed my nuts and weighed them on a bathroom scale.

Why was I there?

I needed to attach a construction plate to a cement wall I am building. I went to Atwoods (farm and garden store) and bought some "all thread bolt stock".

The question is: By logic and reasoning, do you believe my story?

Is there a need to read so many anti-christian arguments? If so, for what purpose? II'm not convinced this will do any good.

why does Matthew 13:55 say, " Is this not the carpenter's son/ is not His mother called mary? And his brothers James, Joses, Simon, and judas?"
and
why in the opening stanza of Mary's Magnificant does she speak of her God as her "savior"?
Testimony from Mary's own lips says that she needed redemption.

Catholisism and Mormonism are examples, but there are many others.

Bearing in mind that Christ was born a Jew...

I am not looking for arguements against any idiology - only for specific groups. While I will likely not agree that a specific body is the 'way the truth and the life' that Christ has in mind, I am very interested in why we come to these conclusions.'

Birth? Theology?
I have heard that God "spoke" to the mormons and said "this is the one" (paraphrase), and Catholics lean on Peter as a result of Christs saying that he is the 'rock'...

What else is basic to these or other beliefs that preclude 'non members' admittance into eternal life?

BTW - if you think God is a cosmic muffin, please, for 'mutual respects' sake move onto the next question.

This is nothing new, heresy has been with the Church from the beginning of the Church. It was not created by the Reformers, they just perfected it. Christ warned us as did the other authors of the Scriptures. He said that we would know them by their fruits and indeed that is true. The fruit of the Reformation is tens of thousands of schisms increasing exponentially dividing the Church that Christ and the Apostles desired to be one. This is the message in all of the pastoral epistles in Scripture. Should a Catholic leave the security of the truth to venture into the Protestant realm of increasingly elusive truth, dividing the Word thousands of different ways by thousands of charismatic leaders and their prideful version of the truth. This error additionally enhanced by the lack of acknowledgement of the entire Word of God but only that which is written based on a man made doctrine of sola scriptura. While many Protestants are sincere, but are sincerely wrong by clinging and placing their hope on their personal version of what God gave us in His Word and even at that relying on an abbreviated version without the fullness of inspired Scripture or the assurance of the Apostolic witness. Those that follow the true Church established by Christ and protected by the Apostles and their successors are the only ones who can proclaim the truth and the greatest chance of receiving the promise of the Gospel.

Why are there schools and colleges? Why doesn't every search engine on the internet just have one result - "The Bible"?

Is it because the Bible is wrong? Incomplete? Antiquated?

About 2 1/2 years ago I was walking down Broadway in Manhattan and I and a few thousand other people silently watched the moon slowly turn a crimson red.

Later, I read about it in the bible. It was prophesied. It said it was one of the signs of the Coming of the Christ.

The darkness had already come over the sun - an eclipse - but this was really eery. So much had happened in NYC over the last few years, no one reacted. We all watched and people called other people on their cellular phones - but I didn't see anything about it in the newspaper the next day.

Did anyone else witness this? How close do you think we are from the Second Coming?

A family friend is building a website for his Christian organization (support group with camps).

To build his website he is using a pirated version of Dreamweaver and a stolen (unlicensed hacked) Flash product, among other things...

He is by no means unable to afford these products as he owns multiple million dollar properties and is constantly buying new gadgets. He ends all e-mails with scripture, and you can't have a single discussion with him without it turning into him professing his trust in God, etc, even when the discussion was totally unrelated to anything religious.

Does anyone else see the irony in this? Doesn't it strike you as odd? How could someone who's entire life is built around religion so callously break one of it's most basic rules? His belief isn't all an act, he truly believes the stuff.
