I saw this happen several years ago in San Antonio, Tx too. But it was longer than two years ago. It was high up in the sky and not near the horizon so I know that it wasn't because of the sun setting and there was no eclipse that night. It was about 9:30 p.m. It wasn't crimson red, but it was darker and reddish. It was red enough to catch my attention. I've never seen it before without an eclipse . When I saw it, it was on a Jewish Holy Day. God always does these things on a Jewish Holy Day. Jesus's death, His ressurection, His birth, (which was on September 27th The Feast Of Tabernacles). And anytime there is a sign in the sky or something going on scientitfic to us and that has biblical significance, it is a Holy Day. Check it out next time.

Read Matthew twenty four. The Christ says a lot about the end of times there. Also read the book of Isaiah & Daniel in the old testament.
In the new testament there is a lot in Revelation, but it is a difficult read as the symbology is beyond most men and women. What is within our grasp does not give dates, nor a timetable until the Beast is upon us. Right now the beast is not in power. Another point I should make here is that it is believed that the Christ's second coming will be invisible to all except His church. That is the Christians who actually are Christians. First the dead then the living, and it will happen just before the beast ascends to his power. The only ones who will see the second coming are the Christians and those that the Christ knows. (that is the ones who never heard of the Christ but lived their lives the best they could with what they had.)
When the Christ returns the third time all will see Him. This is commonly known as the second coming. But in fact it will be the third return, and the final return and it will be to save Israel as God had promised.
What you probably saw was a lunar eclipse, as well as an eclipse of the sun. Come the end of these times this abomination the Christ spoke about in Matthew twenty four will be ruling for seven years, half of that will look and seem good, the last half will be a nightmare for the whole planet!!
Then is when you will see blood red moons and such.

Read Joel ch 2 vs 31. This is a long chapter so you might what to read the whole thing, but the particular verse about the moon turning red is in Joel. The Day of the Lord, I will pour out my spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams. your young men will see visions. Even on my servants, both men and women, I will pour out my spirit on those days. I will show wonders in the heavens and on the earth, blood and fire and billows of smoke. The sun will be turned to darkness and the moon to blood before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord. And everyone who calls on the name of the lord will be saved, for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be deliverance, as the Lord has said, among the survivors whom the Lord calls.

It happens all the time.
"When the Moon turns the color blood red during the infusion of red dust into our environment, the religious elite and organizers of self-serving cults will panic. Not comprehending the total picture of events, they will promote end of the world statements. As I stated before, this is a natural astronomical event due to a unified planetary magnetic field, which last happen on Earth 3657 years ago. The moon’s red appearance is due to the moon reflecting the light emitted from the 12th planet, which is predominately in the red wavelength of the spectrum and the red dust floating in the statically charge atmosphere of Earth. Do you alter your life and follow individuals due to a prediction of a hurricane or tornado. Both these events in the ancients’ times caused people to pray to the Gods and in some cases make sacrifices, but we now know they are natural events. The pole shift is a natural event, but it hasn’t been experience by modern man. There is no need to get swept up in hype."

The moon does not change colors at all. The exact color depends on what's floating around in Earth's atmosphere. Following a volcanic eruption, for instance, dust and ash can turn global sunsets vivid red. The moon would glow vivid red, too. Lots of clouds, on the other hand, extinguish sunsets, leading to darker, dimmer eclipses.

It happens every full lunar eclipse and many partial lunar eclipses.
This has been going on for millions of years. It's nothing new or even particularly unusual.
It can also happen with certain large-scale weather patterns which put enough dust or moisture into the air around the terminator lines (where dusk and dawn are), so that the light hitting the moon is stripped of a good deal of the blue light in sunlight.

i saw that last month. it's called a lunar eclipse, and is quite predictable (by science and mathematics, not by wishful thinking). it was more pink than blood red, but anyway... it's red for the same reason that the sunset is red. during the peak of a lunar eclipse, the moon is illuminated only by the light from the sun that has scattered through earth's atmosphere.

The moon does that all the time. Pollution in the atmosphere causes it, ASH from volcano's causes it. It is nothing new and has happened since the earth was formed.

Now see, this is the problem with religion. Instead of looking into why things are the way they are, you just jump to conclusions and assume it must be biblical.

It happens pretty often here in CT. It's because of pollution and dust in the air usually.
