Is there a need to read so many anti-christian arguments? If so, for what purpose? II'm not convinced this will do any good.

There is really not alot to learn about atheism. The main truth that is generally common among them is that they dont believe in God because they dont want to answer to anybody for their sin. They love their sin and have no intention of giving it up. That is the bottom line. So in the absence of anything really to learn about atheism itself, I concentrate on studying Biblical truth ,creation science and Christian apologetics , which all go hand in hand. This way I am ready to answer and to preach instant in season as commanded.

Again, what's with all the "you are Christian so you can't think for yourself" posts?

I grew up an atheist, and was an atheist until my early 30's. But instead of just arguing with Christians, I decided to see what they were all about; plus how can present a good argument if you don't understand what they are talking about. So I spent about 10 years studying, reading the Bible, questioning any Christian I could find, pastors, ministers, etc. I wanted to prove they were wrong. Guess what - after hard studying and trying to find evidence against Christianity, I became a Christian. This was of my own volition.

I challenge you all to do the same thing - not in becoming a Christian, (I would hope you would though), but I mean perform a serious study into Christianity and see what it's all about. Then if your still not a believer, at least you will have better arguments rather than the usual, "It's a fairy tale." stuff...

I see many anti atheists and anti christian comments on this post. I think it's rather sad. We could all do so much more. Acceptance of each other as people and a willingness to communicate. I must say most of the comments from atheists to Christians question their beliefs, but Christians call us scum and worse. No good from any of it. I live a good clean and what some people may call a moral life. I believe most people are good while the bible notes how all people are bad! I don't believe in god, but I do believe that people are better then most people think we are.

All Christians are familiar with atheism, and most are familiar with the various arguments about "why there is no God", and "The big bang theory, and evolution, and all the rest" But being familiar with something and agreeing with it are two different stories.

The atheists say they believe because they have proof. The Christians say they believe because of faith, and no proof. Is it easier to believe that which can be proven or that which cannot? I choose the more difficult path.

Maybe you are afraid of having people wake up and realize that they are able to think on their own due to the influence of Atheists. Maybe you prefer keeping people close-minded and not able to think for themselves

cause no matter how hard they try to deny it, they like to argue with atheists....it's human nature to want to debate with someone that doesnt believe what you do
