Catholisism and Mormonism are examples, but there are many others.
Bearing in mind that Christ was born a Jew...
I am not looking for arguements against any idiology - only for specific groups. While I will likely not agree that a specific body is the 'way the truth and the life' that Christ has in mind, I am very interested in why we come to these conclusions.'
Birth? Theology?
I have heard that God "spoke" to the mormons and said "this is the one" (paraphrase), and Catholics lean on Peter as a result of Christs saying that he is the 'rock'...
What else is basic to these or other beliefs that preclude 'non members' admittance into eternal life?
BTW - if you think God is a cosmic muffin, please, for 'mutual respects' sake move onto the next question.

We are assuming that Christ is our Lord - as I do... I belong to a church because it teaches the Will of Christ... this is why I belong to a church, and yet I do not assume that the building I walk into has any monopoly on Gods Grace.

History is what man has written, the 'present' is Gods. As it is written... HE was, is and will be the I "Am".
Bad grammar, from our point of view, yet something to be though on.

Max... apologies... upon re-read... out of the top 3, yours is the first to answer the question clearly and consicely, and I suspect, correctly. Whether it is best or not is lef to be determined, however it did not deserve the diatribe I had reserved for it.
