DO NOT BRAG. Thats all u have to do. A lot of pple are confident in themselves, but it turns to arrogance when they brag about themselves: their accomplishments, their successes, their inheritance. It turns to everything being about yourself. Be confident, be very confident, but don't let it drive you to talk about yourself and how good you think you are. If you think you're an exceptional leader, great, that's fine. U don't have to keep saying, I'm the best leader there is, let me lead because I can do it better than everyone else. I started my own company, I run just about every department there is, I've even started a civil rights movement. Great! Let me see it in your actions that you're a great leader, you don't have to keep telling me over and over and over again.
That's arrogance. Thinking you r what you're not. You think you're above everyone else because of your accolades and successes, but confidence, is having some humility about it and just letting actions speak for itself.

Confident people have their own opinions. They respect the opinions of others, even those in stark contrast to their own. Arrogant people on the other hand, demonstrate an unwillingness to listen to others and their ideas. To guard against arrogance ...

1) Listen to what others have to say.
2) Encourage dissenting opinion.
3) Treat everyone with respect.
4) Share credit.

You'll be just fine!

In a sense they are the same thing.

The difference is how you act. If you can be humble when wrong, and not pushy when you think you are right, you won't be considered arrogant, even if you are overly confident.

Arrogance says " Here I am, and you will like me and you are lucky to have me in your presence",

Confidence says " I have something to offer, perhaps we can find some common ground and appreciate each other."

Difficult question. I think it boils down to respect. Respect for other human beings. If you respect someone, it is difficult to show arrogance.

Many arrogant people affect a confident air, in order to hide their insecurity. Anyone who has good self-confidence need not be arrogant.

Try to remember that "People will do whatever you expect them to do".

If you expect people to dislike and disrespect you, they will do so.

If you expect people to like and respect you, they will do so.

stick with keeping it real and not shining on the merits of others but speaking for yourself is usually a humbling experience on it's own. Honesty should never fear or cause a loss of confidence .

I firmly believe that through Christ I can do anything. I have been called arrogant before but there is nothing I can't do.
