how do you look at each other before you sleep and wake every morning knowing that when you die, your love for one anouther dies also?

is it because when you go to heaven the Lord will alter you from each other and you will not suffer, so who cares?

is it just a sexual thing, so you can breed or multiply for the Lord?

is it because you are lonely witch is something witch you say God created in you to breed for his heavenly kingdom?

it is because of your teaching that there are no marrige for your selfs in heaven that I evil your ways with God.

I need to know how you can say you love her knowing that when you die, you are no more. No more that she will probovly find someone eles to bed and wed.

this is importiant for me as I study your christian heart? are you whores just getting off in marriage, to satisfy your lust for your body. Or woman are you just breeders that you want to have children? or is there another reason?

I know I sound like a troll, but I need your heart..

a disparaging remark, a verbal bashing or a thumbs down to an answer from a person that is simply an honest response that the person has felt or experienced in their life? Especially where their beliefs are concerned.

This has nothing to do with me :)
I am simply curious why people feel the need to respond to a heartfelt honest answer with a negative response?

I understand the strict definition of atheism believes there is NO god. They deny existence of any reality that incorporates a montheistic god or polytheistic gods. My question is directed to the commitment that directs many people to atheism as derived from MANY REASONS. Prior exposure to christianity would be prerequisite for this certain group of atheists who "REJECT" the christian God they once "knew". Hate for the christian God would occur through disappointments and negative experiences that provided those emotions.

This is a type of atheism--practical atheism colored by experience--that is the flipside and defection from a religion whether it be christianity/islam/judaism/hinduism. These type of atheists might have internal dialogues that suggest that they "know" God exists but can not get themselves to yield because of bad experience and because it means sacrificing their dignity, pride, and all that they prize as meaningful to them (and having acquired BY them).

Do you have a Thanksgiving dinner, a Christmas tree, an Easter basket? Do you do these things for their alleged religious meaning, because it's family tradition or society expects it of you? Personaly, holidays sent me off into a deep depression in the past and once I began to study and learn more about them, I stopped participating all together. I feel free and have more money in the bank as a result.

I've just seen a particularly badly written post that started with a major spelling error justified on the grounds the person was "testifying".

Why do so many people in this forum use religion to justify poor spelling and grammar?

Has anyone else noticed that fundies and evangelicals seem to be the worst offenders ?

As I've said before ...THIS IS NOT SKILLFUL WITNESSING!

N.B. Before anyone accuses me of being judgemental or Unchristian ... I had a disability as a child that can effect spelling and writing yet I overcame it through study and manage to keep my spelling typos down to a minimal level.

If I can make the effort why cant you?

Ok people, I have heard all the possible arguments ever made by atheists. These are:

“I don’t believe in God because in the bible it says that we should kill kids.”

“I don’t believe in God because in the bible says that the universe was created in 7 days.”

“I don’t believe in God because in the Quran says that we should kill all the infidels.”

I am very confused now! Do you deny the existence of God because of what the Bible or the Quran teaches? Or do you deny the existence of God because there is no evidence?
I bet there are SOME of you who deny the existence of God because of what the Bible or the Quran teach, if you are one of those, please be honest and write it down.

I WAS ONE OF THOSE ATHEISTS TOO, BUT NOW I BELIEVE THERE IS A GOD (IT IS NOT JESUS OR ALLAH OR QUETZALCOATL BUT SOME GOD OR SOMEONE WHO CREATED THE UNIVERSE AND ALL LIFE).

SERIOUS QUESTION, NO 2 POINT JUNKIE ANSWERS PLEASE.

Hi,

Years ago a woman hung herself in my garage.

I have been in there at midnight on Halloween and on other nights but have seen no sign of a spirit.

There may not even be one as I think she had a Christian burial and lies in hallowed ground.

I am demolishing the garage soon and want to offer this spirit, if it is there, a new home in my new garage.

To do this, I will have to invite the spirit to move into an object, so that I can transport it, to my new garage.

What would you suggest I offer the spirit to use as a vessel?

I wonder if you could actually make the choice yourself. Do you think you could become a homosexual if you wanted to. Put your money where your mouth is and try it, just once. It wouldn't really be a big deal, for I'm sure that once you've proven that it really is a choice, you can ask god and jesus for forgiveness and that's that, right?

And by the way, I'm not a homosexual, so don't propose to me. I'm just not ignorant enough to think that sane people would choose to be gay.

If you want to dispute the veracity of evolution, be my guest, but please don't make arguments about the morality of it. That means that any assertions regarding the "cruelty" or "justification of the Holocaust" are completely and totally irrelevant.

Evolution simply explains what animals in nature, in the absence of any sort of moral paradigm, will do. Darwin never said that this was "good" or "bad" behavior, he simply said that it exists. And no amount of disgust or revulsion at this state of affairs makes it any less true. I can't understand why you think it would. Do animals behave reprehensibly toward each other? Yes. Is it unpleasant? Yes. Does this mean it's not true? Of course not.

So, all of that said, why do creationists insist on bringing up moral arguments against evolution? Do they not understand that how warm and fuzzy this state of affairs makes them feel simply DOES NOT MATTER?

sense in the answers given by Christians here, but the answers by Muslims are more reasoned and peaceful. Makes me think that I need to look more closely at Islam, although I am sure in the end that I will reject both religions as nonsense.

i have been to the middle east, and i found that hebrew speaking jews were white, while mixxed races were darker. Did the jews, mostly keep their Dna and genealogy pure? does this mean a white man can become tanned in the heat of the sun? i know i have seen many white men turn red like an indian or brown like a mexican.

What percent of the congregation of your church, in your opinion, is there primarily for spiritual reasons rather than for the gossip, punch and cookies, and networking opportunities?

Please give the denomination of the church and a ballpark of how many people are there on a typical Sunday.

For example, the church I attended growing up (and still get roped into going to once in a while for the sake of family unity): Methodist, 400ish, maybe 40% for spiritual message or education. Not exactly a pious crowd.

I don't undertand why people try to debate this subject. All holy scriptures were written by humans (and we all know what they're like ;)......seriously). That alone convinces me that religion is bogus. How can you possibly believe that a man was the son of god?!?! The same god that created the universe and everything in it. Doesn't that seem a bit foolish?
