On the contrary,we are all born knowing everything instinctively, naturally,we are born into this world as one with our Creator. It's downhill from there into an unnatural state of separation from God.It is up to us to reestablish that connection over the course of our lives, through right living.Education and socialization are learned ignorance. The more we think we "know" intellectually the greater our sense of separation.Ever notice how atheists are generally ego-maniacs? This is ego in action. It is the "job"of the ego to appear to "be someone" in order to survive and remain separate. When a person becomes one with God the ego plays a MUCH diminished role,to the point of insignificance. The ego self is terrified of this and fights tooth and nail to remain relevant, this is the old "struggle within" we all fight. The wolf that wins is the one we feed.

We are all born knowing nothing except the natural need to survive. All our actions as a new-born are the same as any other life-form.
It follows that we are all atheists at birth.
It follows that religion is introduced to us after a period of time.
It follows that each child is introduced to the religion of its parents.
It follows that If a child is born in Saudi Arabia to muslim parents, that child will be a muslim.
It is all an accident of birth and geography is critical.

Religion is not a natural state. It is induced. Indeed, much like rhubarb, it is gently forced.

You are correct. It's a mix between conditioning and learning BUT, for some it takes a certain something to STAY in that religion. I can't discount religion because I have had personal experience with it. But the basics of it are simple learning until that experience occurs.

evidently, there is no such thing as a god-shaped hole, because any one of thousands of gods invented by humanity can "fill" it. there may be a natural tendency towards religious modes of thought, but that's not quite the same thing.

A shaped hole may be a natural state.
Gods are supernatural if they exist at all.

Yes. You are only born with a few natural instincts such as breathing, crying, knowing how to elminate your wastes, etc.

You mean to say something like ...babies are not longing to find meaning in life, right?

I guess that is true, but I don't know, maybe some are.

“The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and ... gives all men life and breath and everything else. From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live. God did this so that men would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us. ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’” (Acts 17:24-28).

some people are just so far out in left field, it's too long of a trip to bring them back. people don't want to have to pack a lunch to clue you in.

if you have to reference your own previous questions, that should be a hint.
