Very good question. Why do they pray to her? And to other saints? The Bible clearly states that there is no way to God except through Christ. It does not say that you can pray to Mary or some person that a bunch of people decided are "saints".

I've always wondered what the fascination with Mary was. Why not pray to Joseph?

Someone earlier said that Mary is sinless. WRONG!!!!!! Jesus is the ONLY sinless one.

God ordained Mary queen of heaven. you're able to desire to study and understand the previous testomony. the mummy of the king grow to be constantly the queen. David and Solomon have been "varieties" of Christ. Jesus grow to be born of the line of David, the Davidic kingdom is a sort of Christ's kingdom. David and Solomon (and others) have been kings, and their mom's have been the queen. This constantly has been so. Jesus, the recent and eternal king, might even have his mom as queen. we are all intercessors for one yet another, Mary too. Why might she be excluded? Your occasion of the Lutheran church does not paintings, because of the fact the Lutheran church isn't an Apostolic Church, they have not got the authority given with the aid of God that the Catholic Church does. << IF Jesus is God, and he's, why does not of He commanded this worship and devotion to Mary>> at the start we don't worship Mary. Secondly, why does it in basic terms paintings if Jesus commanded it in Scripture? Why do you suspect a devotion could desire to be in Scripture, suggested with the aid of Jesus, to be valid? the place is that theory in the Bible? the place does Jesus say that each and every thing spiritually valid would be written down be conscious for be conscious? He in no way tells every person to write down the recent testomony, or says "i'm going to deliver a Bible to lead you." No, yet he did set up a Church, and gave that Church the earthly authority to bind and loose in his call. ask your self why you suspect the Bible is the be attentive to God. Who instructed you? the place in the Bible do you come across a itemizing of the books to be blanketed in the Bible? do you be attentive to who % the books to be blanketed and who chosen which books may well be excluded? The Catholic Church. with the aid of accepting the Bible because of the fact the be attentive to God, you gain this on the authority of the Catholic Church.

Mary is the mother of Jesus Christ, who is God the Son, and therefore can be addressed as the Mother of God.

This is similar to a commoner who marries a king and becomes the mother of the next king. She is entitled to the title Queen and Mother of the King even though she is not royalty or divine.

Nobody two hundred, five hundred or a thousand years ago would have been confused about these terms.

But this is hard for people to understand in these times where royalty and kings and queens are few and far between.

Mary as queen of heaven is also described in the book of Revelation.

With love in Christ.

Mary was chosen from the beginning of all time to be the Mother of Christ. As the first dwelling of the Incarnated Lord, it is right that her womb- her entire body- was pure to be a worthy vessel for the Lord.

Think about it- if you were God- if YOU could create your own mother- wouldn't YOU create her PERFECTLY???

As to the Queen of Heaven, it is perfectly biblical!

Who was the wisest king of the Old Testament? SOLOMON.

And who did Solomon choose as his queen? One of his 300 wives and concubines?

Nope.

There was only one woman who had a singular relationship with Solomon the King- HIS MOTHER.

And Bathsheba frequently listened to the pleas of people who had already brought there cases before Solomon- and took up their cause....and Solomon, good son he was, listened to his mother!

This is why: In the old Testament, the Davidic Kings would rule alongside their MOTHER (not their wives, because they had too many). Their mother would sit on his right hand side and offer the King petitions from the people. They are the Prototype of the Blessed Virgin Mary, who is the everlasting Queen of Heaven, because she sits next to her son, Jesus, the everlasting King-Priest of the Davidic line! The New Testament is the fullfillment of the Old Testament.

We believed that Mary was concieved without the stain of original sin, beucase she would be the Immaculate Mother of the most Holy Son of God! God bless

Queen of Heaven is one of a number of titles used particularly in the Roman Catholic Church for Mary, the mother of Jesus. The title is with reference to the Catholic dogma that at the end of her earthly life, Mary was bodily assumed into heaven, and is there honored as Queen, for the sake of her Son. This follows the biblical precedent of ancient Israel, whose crown, it is held in Christianity, has passed to Jesus.

Because they have no clue what scripture really says. You can't call God, the Father of Jesus Christ, know His ways, and still think Mary as co-redemptrix!

Pray for our Roman Catholic brothers and sisters that have been lied to by the RC church that has led literally BILLIONS into the depths of hell. I pray that the slime be lifted from their eyes and that they see the TRUE beauty in Gods holy word without all of the manmade slavery that the RC church has put into it.

There is only freedom in Christ, not man!

Mary is called the "Mother of God" because Catholic's believe that Jesus was God in the flesh. They feel she has a place in Heaven because she was "chosen" to bear the savior for mankind.

Because the bible says that many will be decieved.

The Lord Jesus Christ is from everlasting to everlasting, the Self- existant One and exists outside of time and space. He is the King of Kings and HE DOES NOT NEED A QUEEN IN HEAVEN ! ! !

Satan is a deciever and his purpose is to sway mankind from the truth. Because it is the Truth that sets us free. And whom the Son sets free is free indeed.

GOD HAS NO NEED FOR US OR ANYONE AND CERTAINLY NO NEED FOR A QUEEN.

IT IS A LIE ! ! !

Latria is a Greek term used in Catholic theology to mean adoration, which is the highest form of worship or reverence and is directed only to the Holy Trinity.

Latria is sacrificial in character, and may be offered only to God. Catholics offer other degrees of reverence to the Blessed Virgin Mary and to the Saints; these non-sacrificial types of reverence are called Hyperdulia and Dulia, respectively. Hyperdulia is essentially a heightened degree of dulia provided only to the Blessed Virgin.

In Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and Anglo Catholic theology, veneration is a type of honor distinct from the worship due to God alone. Church theologians have long adopted the terms latria for the sacrificial worship due to God alone, and dulia for the veneration given to saints and icons. Catholic theology also includes the term hyperdulia for the type of veneration specifically paid to Mary, mother of Jesus, in Catholic tradition. This distinction is spelled out in the dogmatic conclusions of the Seventh Ecumenical Council (787), which also decreed that iconoclasm (forbidding icons and their veneration) is a heresy that amounts to a denial of the incarnation of Jesus.

Veneration is a religious symbolic act giving honor to someone by honoring an image of that person, particularly applied to saints.

The Blessed Virgin, as manifesting in a sublimer manner than any other creature the goodness of God, deserves from us a higher recognition and deeper veneration than any other of the saints; and this peculiar cultus due to her because of her unique position in the Divine economy, is designated in theology hyperdulia, that is dulia in an eminent degree. It is unfortunate that neither our own language nor the Latin possesses in its terminology the precision of the Greek. The word latria is never applied in any other sense than that of the incommunicable adoration which is due to God alone. But in English the words adore and worship are still sometimes used, and in the past were commonly so used, to mean also inferior species of religious veneration and even to express admiration or affection for persons living upon the earth. So David "adored" Jonathan. In like manner Miphiboseth "fell on his face and worshipped" David (2 Samuel 9:6).

Revelations 12 gives her description as the Queen of heaven

The Woman, the Child, and the Dragon
1 Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. 2 Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth.
3 And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. 4 His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. 5 She bore a male Child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to God and His throne. 6 Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days.
