Atheism is more of a lifestyle than a lack of belief.
Many atheists refuse to believe because of the conditions God requires for such belief.

I'm not Atheist, but I'll try to answer this.
A lot of people believe that the universe was not created by God, but rather is made of a different energy(Eletrons+ Protons?) and has always existed.
They get the idea from Stephen Hawking who said something along the line of "If the universe has always existed, then it would have no need for a Creator..
I can't find the quote right now, but I wish I could because I think it is a good agrument.

Do you believe there are 100 million planets in the solar system? Of course not, there is no evidence to support that assertion; just as there is no evidence to support the existence of God.
Holy books of all faiths are easy targets. They were written by humans, divinely inspired. Therefore they should be perfect. They aren't. They aren't even consistent.
IMO religion was invented by some lazy bastard who was unwilling to work but still felt he was entitled to 10% of a working mans wages. If that sounds like welfare to you it doesn't surprise me a bit.
BTW, I was born, raised and ordained in a Christian denomination. After being stabbed by Christians for many years I started thinking instead of just listening and accepting. I would gladly return to the church if someone could produce one scrap of evidence to the existence of god. The healing of all the scar tissue on my back would be a nice start.
Have a nice day, and remember you are asserting a positive (that God exists). The burden of proof is on you, just as it is on the District Attorney when s/he tries to prove someone guilty of a crime. The defendants (Atheists) do not have to prove anything. In fact you could not prove beyond a shadow of a doubt that you didn't have sex with President Bush. If I had the evidence I could prove you did. That is all most Atheists are asking for; some evidence that goes beyond your personal belief and your personal faith. You could believe in anything and even sound evidence wouldn't shake that belief.
If you find comfort in believing in the Easter Bunny, the Great Pumpkin or God I encourage you to enjoy that comfort. I guess I don't need to be comforted so badly that I have to invent something or someone to do the job.
Have a nice Sunday but watch your back...
Now I have a question for you. Why are you so interested in me??? I can leave you alone but the reverse seems impossible. I have never had an Atheist ring my doorbell and invite me not to go to church. I can’t say the same for “Christians”…

My non-belief in God has nothing to do with anything the Bible or Quran says. As far as I'm concerned, those are fictional books.
I don't believe in God because I have no reason to believe in Gods. None of the people who claim that there is a God can show a single scrap of proof that their claim is true. There is no evidence for invisible, magical, supernatural beings. I think it's silly and superstitious to believe in things like that. Now I can understand uneducated, superstitious *ancients* believing in them, but it blows my mind that people still do in this day and age.

Great buddy ..... yes u were an Aetheist who was weak .. tell me if he has created everything , but why he has to do that ... why he has to sit in so calle heaven and watch life on earth and decide their fate .. is he not get bored for doing such things for so many centuries .... belive me their is no such thing called god .. its we humans out of fear and less knowledge started to belive on something supernatural ... and slowly that supernatural belief started to take a human form and we started to draw things on god in our own way and ended up having so many religions whom we are still believing blindly .... of there is a reason for the ultimate "why" .. but for that it will take science a quite of time to figure out ... see the progress we did till now .... so humans have to wait for some time to get answers ... by that time we may not exist but that doesn't mean we should think illogical ..

I don't believe in God and don't need to quote some religious book to explain why I don't believe because the only real reason I don't believe is because there is no real evidence to support that a God exists.
Sounds like you switched to Agnosticism. At least that is not as bad as believing you know who this invisible and unprovable sky friend (God) is.

I deny the existence of the Christian god (Jehovah) because of what the Bible says.
I deny the existence of the Muslim god (Allah) because of what the Quran says.
I deny the existence of the **insert god here** because of what the **insert holy book here** says.
I take each god with its own merits. So far, no evidence.

if you've heard all possible arguments, what do you need me to comment for?
the only demonstrable connection between the origin of the universe and the origin of life is that we humans don't understand them. why do you think the same invisible guy is responsible for both?

None of the above.
Just common-sense.
All gods and goddesses throughout the history of mankind have been invented by man. The current crop are no different.
Why don't you believe in Horus or Zeus or Thor or Ra .... ?

Probably for the same reasons that most people don't acknowledge the existence of MY gods and goddesses. Why do they deny Isis and Zeus??? WHY???
