Do you agree that real meaning has to be tied to living for a real purpose?
“Unless you assume a God, the question of life’s purpose is meaningless.” –Bertrand Russell (noted 20th century Nobel Laureate, mathematician and philosopher)
Our human nature demands that we have a reason to live; a reason worthy of our life. Here is another philosopher on worth:
"There is only one really serious philosophical question, and that is suicide. Deciding whether or not life is worth living is to answer the fundamental question in philosophy. All other questions follow from that." (Albert Camus)
If we reject God then we also reject real purpose for living. Then we must do something to avoid suicide so we invent purposes and delude ourselves into attaching great significance to our invention. All of such inventions turn out to be feel-goodisms, i.e. "I want to leave the world a better place...".
Is gathering "good feelings" a purpose worthy of living? No, and that's why we have to deceive ourselves.

Living on this sin cursed world would be unbearable without God and knowing him, he has survived through out all the ages
He is the beginning and the ending of all things and the giver of life, he always was and always will be
It is said in his word that he created us and knew us in his fore knowledge, before the world was created he knew us
we were in his devine plan before time began as we know it
we were created to walk with him and be his friend

It's because God is the source of life, the giver of goodness, the giver of glory. He equals meaning in life because He deserves to be our top priority because of everything He's done for us. Without Him, we would never have existed; there would be nothing.

The meaning of life is to recieve God's love, concieve it, and then bear it forth to others. God is the perfect and infinite: truth, goodness, beauty, being. God is what our hearts desire and have an awareness of, becuase we see the imperfections of this world. God bless.

The problem is that you seem to assume that God DOES = meaning in life. There's no reason to assume that.
