Hi, I'm a new Christian and I am just wondering. Please don't give me your personal opinions on waiting for marriage; I want to know what God's word is.

Life is so hard especially when you feel that you have no worth in this world. It’s hard when you have no love, no family, no friends and no career to lean back on. The simplest challenges turn into some of life’s hardest obstacle. It may not seem that way for most but to some, it is the worst.
I see my life as worthless, I may have a family but the way I feel amongst my family only makes me feel more worthless. I may have friends but none that I can share my true feelings, true feelings that show how desperate I am. Many of the people closest to me think that I am happy and that I have a comfortable life and a loving family. They never get to see the real me, behind the mask, behind the smile. They don’t see the tears falling down my cheeks.
One thing that may make me feel happy would be to have a love, a person whom I would love and would love me in return. But alas, I’m not that lucky. I don’t have anyone beside me holding my hand, wiping the tears off my face.

To see all of those children lined up to buy a book? Not a movie, not a video game , but a book. And a 759 page book at that. Wow. It just makes me feel good to know that there are so many young people who still love and care about reading.

How would you describe your relationship to God our Father, the Lord Jesus our Saviour, and the Holy Spirit, our Guide and Comforter? Do you have a close and personal, intimate relationship with Him? Don't you just love Him? Name a couple of blessings He has given you this day!

A religious man is a person who holds God and man in one thought at one time, at all times, who suffers harm done to others, whose greatest passion is compassion, whose greatest strength is love and defiance of despair.

He is out of his mind !!

Let's see: what did Jesus do that warranted 39 lashes from a whip, contempt and disrespect, and to be nailed (naked) on a tree? The roman punishment (originally) for runaway slaves.

He taught, preached, healed and fellowshipped with women and men. For no pay.

And there was a murderer, named barabas, and pilate said to the crowd, which should be set free? And the crowd said, set barabas free and 'crucify Him'. ..."and let His blood be on us and our children" Major faux pas there. LOL

Of course, some men have been tortured worse than Jesus was: think of Braveheart and being drawn and quartered. Do you know what that meant? Deep, deep cuts in all your major limb joints and then tied to four horses, who are whipped to run in four directions !! Ouchie.

But, Jesus was INNOCENT and went to His death with sublime dignity and unbelievable courage !!

Who has weak belief (commonly) Atheist? Theist?

I have seen many people finding God in a time of their life atlast; but i have never seen somone who believes on GOD for a long time, and, then loses Him, eventually?

An Atheist was a Thesit once? Or a Theist was an Atheist once? Or you were, what you are right now, from always!?

Atheist question. Hoping someone can clear this up for me.

According to the Bible, Isaiah prophecized that a virgin would concieve a son, and his name would be Immanuel (Isaiah 7:14). Why then was he named Jesus instead?

Playboy or Cosmopolitan? At least Playboy & Cosmo have pics. Overall, they are all contain simple stories that people make up.

George Bush & the Bible go hand in hand. Think about that one!!!

I was baptized as an infant, yet I decided as a Young Child to be obedient and follow Christ and I publicly confirmed that in my teens. If I was baptized and always followed Christ, why should I be baptized again as an adult? Since it is God’s action, His free gift, how can we screw it up. Since it was God’s action, did He somehow mess it up??

I envy those couples who really respect and understand each other.

Are they really happy as they look?

I used be a cynic about love telling "love is just an illusion made by our own fantasy and hope.sooner or later we r gonna be tired and bored"

recently I came to work with a lady, she is a real nice one.I can find in her eyes the genuine kindness.

I had my left foot hurt 3days ago, she everyday asked me about this, I was so moved.

I have now big crush on her I found the beauty in her kindness , I guess this kind of beauty will never be bored. Her kind eyes and smile are really attractive.

I even wrote a ballade thinking of her, nobody knows.

Are you still happy with the love that you found ?

There are so many answers on this site that say, "Look around you.... That couldn't have happened with out God doing it... That butterfly is so beautiful, that only God could have done that." Do people really believe that just because they know nothing of evolution, they have to say God did it???

I had a bad habit of scratching zits & scabs. I asked how to stop, on YA. The answers were moderately helpful. AT THE SAME TIME, my cat got an odd illness, with blood-filled cysts on his cheeks. For some reason, that week I was enabled, for the first time in years, to stop the habit, which I couldn't break for YEARS!!

Christians: Did God give the people and the cat's illness to me as a miracle, to help me see the problem & solution more clearly?

Buddhists: Did the cat take on my karma, relieving me of the bad karma which caused the habit?

Secular Humanists: Did I finally get my need met for comfort & advice, plus see the bad effects of a bloody face, coincidentally at the same time?

What do you think? And which religious persuasion are you?

I came across a book that was written around the same time as the bible & it states that "As they sat around the campfire drinking, they told stories of how life became to be. They began talking about how they had previously written a book they called a bible which everyone believed & became a best seller so, they continued on the fantasy that people wanted to read". It also states that "they spoke about God being female but, because they were all men & afraid their wives would get jelous, they wrote her up as a man".

I kid you not.

Im holding a seminar in a months time if you are interested. I invite you to see this proof.

And inside the wodden cross-you slide up the crucifix- and there is a bottle of holy water, two candles and a little leaflet on how to heal sicknesses with it. Does anyone here know what it is called and how much it is worth? I'm curious, since I cannot find any information on it.
