I mean Buddhism was well established when JC came along. Alot of people on this site think that Buddhists are more Christ-like than Christians (Yesterdays R+S).
So was Jesus a Dharma practitioner?

Isn't it alarming that in the Land of the Free many Jews are more radical than the Jews of Yemen, Iraq or Ethiopia?

I know they represent a small number of millions of Jews in the world who are mostly peaceful and want to live in harmony with their Palestinian cousins. Yet some of these settlers have a very scary belief and are even vocal enough to say it in public that there is no such group of people called Palestinians. So how do you call the 8 million Palestinians who are refugees in many parts of the world including in their very own land? Israelis? Cannanites?

Have you noticed that ego is more interested in happiness than it is in building itself up? It is, after all, why ego strives. This is what makes it possible for ego to allow itself to dissolve. As it's noticed that the less it exerts itself, the easier life becomes and the more joy and peace shows up, it becomes progressively more willing to let go. This is found to be a key element in spiritual progress.

Is it because there can be no other God? After all, it is only a name, it's not a true "God." Is it right or wrong?

According to 2 Chronicles 21:20 (King James Version)

"Thirty and two years old was he when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem eight years, and departed without being desired. Howbeit they buried him in the city of David, but not in the sepulchres of the kings."

The above verses say the Father of Ahaziah died at 40 years of age.

But according to Chronicles 22:1-2 (King James Version)

it says

"1And the inhabitants of Jerusalem made Ahaziah his youngest son king in his stead: for the band of men that came with the Arabians to the camp had slain all the eldest. So Ahaziah the son of Jehoram king of Judah reigned.

2Forty and two years old was Ahaziah when he began to reign, and he reigned one year in Jerusalem. His mother's name also was Athaliah the daughter of Omri."

According to the above verses Ahaziah was 42 years old. The verses clearly mention he was made king after the death of his father.

How can the son be 2 years older than his father?

Sustained Through
Terrible Trials
AS TOLD BY ÉVA JOSEFSSON

A small group of us had gathered in the Újpest district of Budapest, Hungary, for a brief meeting before going out in the Christian ministry. It was 1939, shortly before the beginning of World War II, and the preaching work of Jehovah's Witnesses was under ban in Hungary. Those who shared in teaching the Bible publicly in those days were often arrested.

My ex-husband had a dream that our child and I were violently murdered. He then was involved in trying to catch the person who did it. We were not in our hometown when this happened in the dream and our deaths were three days apart, with me going first. Any ideas about what it would mean?

I always loved the Wiccans (they were kind and helpful in all ways to me) but my spiritual experiences started and continue based on Christian concepts. I’d been hard pressed to explain how I became what I am, but it was years of study and some impossible coincidences that couldn’t have happened without Divine intervention. So for now I’ll just say I am and continue.

Gnostics believe in Sophia the female aspect of God, and Christ the male aspect. So I do worship a God and Goddess and the one unknowable source behind them.

I don't think I'm a Wiccan but I always considered Gnostics to be like "Christian Wiccan Buddhist" since they believe in being pacifist, believe in reincarnation, most were vegetarian. Neither believe that only certain people get to experience God, we both believe we’ll all get there given enough time.

Naturally there were many sects of Gnostics like the many denominations of Christianity today. My tradition is based on the Cathars.

....then the individual who seeks is an illusion, right?

So, this means that what you seek is your own ego death. You're marching yourself toward the gallows. Are you willing to die to know your Self as the Truth?

It is generally a very misunderstood concept and i'm wondering everyone's opinion on it. I'll be posting the reasons Muslimahs have for wearing it and the scripture behind it if you'd like to check back later.

Well after all the christians are the masters of altering twisting the literal meaning in the bible, so I'm merely following the christians' footsteps! Here you go!

1. I am the Lord thy God (I am a tired God, the authors misspelled it)
2. Thou shalt have no other gods before me (You can have other Gods BEHIND me!)
2. Thou shalt not make for thyself an idol (You should have someone else make an idol for you!)
3. Thou shalt not make wrongful use of the name of thy God (You can use His name however you like as long as you don’t misspell His name!)
4. Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy (Just acknowledge that it’s there and keep your distance from it, cause your sinful soul will make it unholy!)
5. Honor thy Mother and Father (Ignore your parents for they are not your real mother&father,God is!)

I've been watching that Man Vs Wild show on the Discovery channel, and no matter what this man encounters, he seems to find some plant, animal, rock, or body of water to relieve his ailments. I can't help but to wonder if God truly intended us to live off of the earth alone, and if all this technology is just clouding our minds. Most people these days don't even know how to camp let alone survive in the wild. What were God's true intentions for us? (No bible quotes, please. I'm not Christian, and I won't even read them)

I don't believe in it, but I wonder what you think. Do you have a 9-5 job, a house, vehicle, etc.

What would God have you do all day. I have seen that blank stare from multiple jesus freaks saying heaven will be wonderful, but they never say why besides they think they will be near a bearded guy wearing white robes.

Would you just sit in your clouds all day? I mean, what can you do that is not offensive to your God besides worship him..

The Mormon church has stated on several occasions that there is not a shred of evidence to support the truth of the church.

Most people, including people on here, reference the works of Jeff Lindsay as proof of the church.

Does this mean that Jeff Lindsay is a more reliable source than the church itself?
