Easy. God isn't "good". He is a neutral force of the universe. Haven't you ever heard of "do as i say, not as i do?" Besides, the bible isn't even true... easy enough to figure that one out. I mean, it doesn't mention dinosaurs, or the ice age, or anything like that. It overly simplifies the creation of the earth and the universe. It also doesn't mention anything about the years when jesus was a teenager. He probably was pretty normal (and sinned alot) before he went crazy and got a messiah complex. So just calm down and realize the fact that the men who killed all those people just used god's name to get away with it cleanly, without retribution from their societal laws because it came from " a higher cause".
If you can't tell... i used to go to church and noticed the inconsistencies of that storybook.

The Bible says do not murder, not kill. BIG difference.
God lists many offenses in which society was to kill a person, but I don't have the right as an individual to carry those out. That responsibility is given to the government.

You're taking one text out of the bible when one needs to read the entire bible to know what it says. It, along with thousands of other laws were given to prove that man cannot get to Heaven by trying to obey all the laws. It can't be done. The bible also says there is a time to kill and a time to heal. Thus, there is a time to kill and a time to turn the other cheek. I challenge you to study the book of Romans this week.

Umm...He's God, he can do whatever he wants. Besides Jesus represents a new covenant, an end to the mass killings in the old testament.

Christians believe that god gave life and therefore has the right to take it away.
As I know that I and my wife gave life to our son, does that mean we have the right to kill him and go unpunished?

Because you are taking something away that is not yours. But God is creator, so we as human beings are 'his property.'
Of course, all in context of Christianity.

Because people invented the bible, thats why there are funny little things like that. If it was really written by "God" then there'd be no problems, no loopholes, no paradoxes and no confusion.
