I have contemplated how to answer this question for the last few hours, but nothing i can come up with seems good enough!
~Try as i might i cannot find words for the filled up feeling in my chest as i think about my path~
So what will come out here as my answer will probably just be a garbled mess, but i shall try anyhow!

I dont much like titles, because i seem to have little differences that exclude me in most!
But i guess my best explaination would be Electic Wiccan Traditional Green Hedge Soul Witch!

With regards to my Wiccan Religion~ I worship like a Wiccan, I observe all the Sabats and Esbats. I Believe in the same concept of Deity, yet i cant pinpoint one trad in particular.

With regards to My Witchcraft~I am drawn to the traditional way and i know i am a soul witch because of my 'memories'.
Most of what i use my craft for would be aiding gaia and my loved ones. I like to work with herbs.

Told you it would be a garbled mess!

What i do? ~ Well i try to live my path and let it dwell in all aspects of my life from the moment i open my eyes of a morning and do my little pentagram salute to last thing at night when i do the same!
I give offerings to the God/dess, of fruits, nuts flowers pretty stones insence etc...i offer these at my garden altar, with thanks for all that is done for and given to myself and my loved ones everyday.
I see the beauty all around me and am cautious in treating everything with the care and respect it deserves.
I see the divine in all people and creatures, and likewise treat these with the same care and respect.
I observe the changing of the seasons in the wheel of the year, and rejoyce in the beauty in every day.
I use the 'gifts' given to me and the knowledge i am lucky enough to hold to help those around me. I use spellwork to benifit those i care about and Mother earth.
I live my life according to the Wiccan Rede~I take it as literally as i can in all that i do.
I also abide by the law of the power.....The Power shall not be used to bring harm, to injure or control others. But if the need rises, the Power shall be used to protect your life or the lives of others.

The Power is used only as need dictates.

The Power can be used for your own gain, as long as by doing so you harm none.

It is unwise to accept money for use of the Power, for it quickly controls its taker. Be not as those of other religions.

Use not the Power for prideful gain, for such cheapens the mysteries of Wicca and magick.

Ever remember that the Power is the sacred gift of the Goddess and God, and should never be misused or abused.

And this is the law of the Power.

Also i try to adhere to the 13 goals of a witch, which are

1. Know yourself
2. Know your Craft
3. Learn
4. Apply knowledge and wisdom
5. Achieve balance
6. Keep your words in good order
7. Keep Your thoughts in good order
8. Celebrate life
9. Attune with the cycles of the Earth
10. Breath and eat correctly
11. Exercise the body
12. Meditate
13. Honor the Goddess and God.

I find that these three things alone have changed my life so dramaticly that i do not have words now, nor i doubt will i ever have to express my grattiude completley.

I hope that this has made sense to whomever cares to read it.
Blessed Be!
Ariel

MM Lady Morgana. I am a hedgewitch and solitary in the truest sense as I have no witch friends other than the lovely people I meet on Pagan sites. My Nature Path is about caring for others, caring for all creatures and for the Earth that supports all life. I am vegetarian having never managed to achieve Vegan status. lol! I work mainly on the Astral though I do cast circles occasionally . I follow the Wheel of the Year. I am not Wiccan, though I follow some Wiccan principles particularly in regard to harming none. I try my best to tread lightly on Mother Earth. I will do a spell or ritual if I am asked to by family or friends ( though only a couple of them know I am a witch) and will dress and bless candles for people in difficulties. I also do protection spells when required. I am drawn to Hecate and Herne, though I rarely work with them both at the same time. I honour the Quarters and call upon them in ritual. Apart from that my life is simple and my needs few. I believe we are all connected as we all are part of the One Spirit Who is both Mother and Father. All life is held in balance this way. Blessed Be.

I am very new to being a witch and would not be able to define myself. I hope in time you and the others here who are more experienced will help me with this. I am a solitary practitioner and my rituals are mostly about helping others or things that I need, nothing selfish. I love the earth and all the elements. I have a strong connection with Faeries and my patron Goddess is Brigid and God is Lugh though I still connect with the other Goddesses and Gods when I need their assistance. I am still learning and I am very honest about the fact that I am very new. Sometimes I find that people will be rude to me because I am new. I realize that many people become a Witch because it is the thing to do but this is not why I chose to walk this path and I am very hesitant to approch others because of this. It was only within the past few monthes that I felt comfortable using this title for myself. I wanted to be sure I had done plenty of reserch. I felt that I owed this to the Goddess and God and to the other Witches. This is not a trend, it is a way of life and it deserves respect. I wanted to be sure I gave the respect it was due and hope to continue to. I hope in time people will see that I am genuine in my choices and respect it. I appreciate all the people on here who have been supportive and for those who are rude to the neophytes please remember many of you were a newbie at some point. Not all of us were lucky enough to be raised in the traditions. As for the Christians who wish us to burn in hell. What do you think your God feels about you wishing such things on people and telling him what his decision will be?

As you can tell by my user name, I am a Green Witch. I began as a covened Gardnerian but grew trired of all the "political infighting among the coven members and withdrew. I discovered teh Green path in the last 15 years or so and have been practicing as a solitary. My practice tends to be more along the lines of Healing magick and I gather herbs and make healing remedies, tinctures, salves and the like. I consider myself Wicca as I also worship Goddess and God and keep the Sabats and Esbats (Both Full moon and New moons) in the Wheel of the Year.

I have a close network of pagan friends and we gather for informal circles but no formal coven, nor do I plan on joining/forming one. I love helping people with my herbal knowledge and am VERY adept at identifying and gathering wild herbs. Of course having my BS in Biology and an advanced degree in Environmental Science would make that simple for me to manage. My Grandmother and my Great Grandmother were BOTH adept herbalists (they never called themselves witches) and I learned a LOT from them as well.

Living SO close to the natural world I've found that I am more sensitive to the changes that our natural world is undergoping due to the Climatic changes that are occurring. Herbs that were ONCE plentiful are becoming scarcer and unable to cope with the changes that are occuring in our environment. I KINOW it's not because of MY overharvesting as I harvest ONLY on an as needed basis and NEVER take more than 1/6 of any particular stand of plants or fungi in order to ensure that enough will reamain to sustain the population. I manage my property diligently and very carefully (like any good gardener would) and yet the levels of a lot of herbs is decreasing. Our World is undergoing some VERY drastic changes and they're NOT for the better. As a species, we NEED to take heed and make the necessary changes or we are ALL going to be in some serious difficulties VERY soon.

Brightest Blessings,
Raji the Green Witch

I'm an eclectic witch. We take ideas wherever we find them, and don't have a single unified practice or tradition. Much of my practices (or rather the practices of My Steve, which I have not kept up since his death) were taken from ceremonial magick, specifically from what we understand of the OTO and the Golden Dawn. But we were both experienced Tarot readers, and the symbolism of the Tarot figures heavily in everything I do. There are two goddess statues and one god statue on the "sort of altar" over there, as well as one I inherited which I have since given away. There are several other things on this "sort of altar" as well. I light candles, the color of which is significant symbolism, and burn incense chosen for its symbolic value. Both of these are taken from tables of correspondences from Liber 777, by Aleister Crowley.

When Steve was alive, we did sabbats eight times a year, at the solstices, the equinoxes, and the mid-points between them, basically referred to as the "wheel of the year," and probably pretty typical of modern witches' sabbats except that since there was just the two of us, it wasn't much of a circle. I made ritual robes for us to wear, and we wore different colors for the different seasons. We did our personal interpretation of what is generally called ceremonial magick.

What I do now that Steve is gone is principally meditate and read, becoming absorbed in the concepts which can be more accurately conveyed in symbolism than in language. There is a limit, most will admit, to what can be put into words. There may also be limits to what can be put into symbols, but we are the richer for being able to use both. Ultimately, we need to go beyond any communication to the Essence, the great "I am that I am."

I doubt whether this conveys much to anyone, but you had to ask!

P.S. When I had finished answering this, my points were at 74,666. My phone number also includes 666. Think I'm a little devilish?

I do consider myself a witch even though I do not follow any particular tradition. There are all diferent kinds of paths out there that you can follow and I just take what I like from each. I believe in nature and in the power of the energies around us but I do not claim to be part of any path.

As for what I do.... I am a peaceful person. I strive fo peace in everything that I do. I am the person that solves conflicts between others. I do not like to be surrounded by negative energy and I love to see the beauty in everything. As for spells and such things as that, I do cast spells. But never negative ones. As a witch you have to understand the laws of nature and do no harm. It is my job to better this earth, not to worsen it.

I use divination of all kinds for others as well as myself. Some of these techniques include scrying, Tarot, pendulums, ceromancy, casting lots, runes, astrology, ect. i do not charge people for readings... EVER. I basically think of myself as trying to be a better person. I think that is what being a witch is about. Using the gifts that we are born with to better ourselves and this world.

I was trained an Alexandrian Wiccan, now I simply refer to my self as a Witch.

As to what kind of Witch, generally an irreverent smarta-- one.
What I like to do as a Witch is to work with metal, stone and wood, as well as sound. I have experience in Tarot and some Herbal lore.

As a practice I am NROOGD, though I dabble in some shamanic.

Other than that I don't classify what kind of witch I am, the whole Red Witch, Blue Witch, Black Witch, Green Witch thing to me is way too contrived and hollywood, so I don't use it for labling purposes. Your mileage may vary.

My current religious practice is the NROOGD Tradition, although I'm at least half hedge-witch.

What do I do? I live my life like any other person. I worship with people of like mind, I take care of the furkids and the house, cook lovely meals for my hubby and family and friends, brew up medicinal teas when I need them or others need them, lend a sympathetic ear to those who need it, read a lot, nurse my Mom and sister when they need me to.

I travel when I can, I drum and play other rhythm instruments, I spend time in nature renewing my spirit, I honor the life of the Earth, I go to live music events when I can, I attend religious conferences and retreats.

I spend time on the phone with friends, I laugh over the silly things in life, I cry over the tragedies.

I help my friends and family as I can - house blessings, helping them move and unpack and organize, driving them to places when their car is in the shop, sending energy for their healing or happiness.

All in all, it's a pretty "normal" life.

I practice ritualistic magick. Wicca is very close to me but I don't consider myself Wiccan. I've found that witchcraft and magick has been misunderstood to a large degree. We are not bloodthirsty individuals waiting to cook your kids as in Hansel and Gretel... ;) I've took an approach to discovering what is within the realm of magick that is non discriminating. The truth is one thing we can not hide from.

I would consider myself eclectic, solitary. I do have friends I gather with and share my life with, but do not belong to a coven because I have not found the right one, if there is one. My heritage is Sinti which is a tribe of Germanic/Austrian Gypsy. There are some traditions, but I follow my own path and heart. I enjoy playing with my Tarot cards and herbs, playing in the kitchen or outside by the lake, and showing my thanks to Goddess/God for my blessings.
