There are so many answers on this site that say, "Look around you.... That couldn't have happened with out God doing it... That butterfly is so beautiful, that only God could have done that." Do people really believe that just because they know nothing of evolution, they have to say God did it???

That's why people invented religion in the first place. It was a replacement for science at a time when science couldn't explain anything.

Unfortunately, some people still haven't joined us in the 21st century, where science can explain a whole lot of things.

Why do science and theology have to be mutually exclusive? Isn't it possible for someone to believe that God uses Evolution just as He used The Big Bang to create the universe? Isn't it possible that God created what you call scientific laws and physics to create everything?

ETA: I think it's very telling that over 75% of the entire world's population, even in this day and age, still believe in a supreme being. Many of the world's greatest scientists are believers in God. How is it that those who believe in God aren't somehow "caught up to the 20th century?" I believe that those who don't at least acknowledge some form of Supreme Being are stuck in the past.

Do you really believe that if you don't understand it, you have to say that God did NOT do it? This is an argument I just don't understand. The leap of faith it takes to acknowledge God's hand in the things we see is no greater than the leap of faith it takes to deny that he had anything to do with it. Yes, people really DO believe that they have to give credit to God for creation...and no, not just because they know nothing of evolution (though that may be the case for some). Others, like myself DO know about the theory of evolution and the origin of the world!

I know plenty about evolution (anatomy student) and I don't believe it. The world is TOO PERFECT to have been otherwise formed. On the subject of butterflies, what do you think of the false eyes on the wings to scare predators? Or chameleons? The oxygen-Co2 exchange? The water cycle? The human brain, pulling up memories such as smells, sights, sounds, feelings? Cardiac cells which beat individually? Coincidence? I think not.

most people do. . .and its strange. . .

i just cant understand why people would come to a conclusion that god is the only thing responsible for thisngs that they dont understand or dont kow

bleh

theory of evolution might not have anything to do with it.

its just the way the human mind works. . .without god everyone wouldn't have someone to blame, or to look up too.

dunno whats going on in the world nowadays

In all things I shall praise the Lord. Even if evolution was proven 100% true I would still praise the Lord in it.

Pslam 138: 1-3 Thank you! Everything in me says "Thank you!" Angels listen as I sing my thanks.
I kneel in worship facing your holy temple
and say it again: "Thank you!"
Thank you for your love,
thank you for your faithfulness;
Most holy is your name,
most holy is your Word.
The moment I called out, you stepped in;
you made my life large with strength.

Yours in Christ,
Miss Mona

Some people, perhaps. But that's not why I say God created the universe and even life itself.

If you throw a bunch of cell phones into a gigantic crusher,and a supercomputer comes out,then I will accept evolution as a possibility.

Causes need cause. If you believe in evolution, what caused it to happen?
