Saying various things about the nature of life ,the universe and everything-and then 100 million people believed it and created temples to worship this Gully ,would this make it a religion or a cult?
And would it have more, or less salient truth than other "established" religions?

My best friend of 22 years is getting confirmed in the Catholic church next weekend. I need to get her a gift, but don't really have any ideas. Need a gift appropriate for a 23 year old female. My budget is around $50-$60. I am not very religious so I'm not really sure what to do here.

Thanks!!!!!

Our spirit is perfect.
The hell is a scary religious lie, like the boggeyman.
I`m sure.
Imperfect is the flesh, but that flesh dissapears in the earth, the spirit back to the "maximun universal energy".

... that most times Atheists only imply that Christians believe in God and disregard you from the equation? Do you think that this is a good thing or do you feel that you need a stronger voice...

Most people I know who were Christians and later became Atheists were really devout at studying the Bible and taking it seriously.

If more Christians actually read the bible and were thereby better Christians, would they then more likely become Atheists because of their honest appraisal of the scriptures?

There are Christians who howl to the heavens about gay marriage and even abortion breaking up the American Family. What is truly breaking up the American family is the loss of stable jobs. Women, even married women Abort because they will lose their job if the are found to be pregnant. Grown children move thousands of miles away because there company cut jobs or is bought up by another company and disappears, and they need work. The bottom line, the Profit, the stock price and dividend have become more important than the Family. Why are those who give lip service to holding traditional families together not sermonizing on how corporate greed is destorying families?

If you believe in God and embrace religion, fine. If you don't, fine. Why do both sides insist on both arguing a point that they can't win, and trying to get the other to go along with their way of thinking.

Anyways, I didn't meant it all! I am quoting God.
It was a bad joke. I take it back. See you in heaven (which you don't believe exists)!

It's just the universe. It may or may not have an origin, but there's no evidence leading anyone to presume some disembodied intelligence from outside its bounds brought it into being.

So should we stop referring to home universe as "creation?"

Does anyone actually read those ridiculous answers all the way through??

For those who do it, learn to paraphrase!
