Many claim that the main problem they have with Christians in the U.S. is their attempts to make their beliefs into law, as in the case of the issues of gay marriage and abortion. How would you feel about believers that apply their beliefs to themselves alone and refuse to be mixed up in politics? Do you know of any group that does this?

Test scores have been falling every year in America for the last 50 years. America is falling behind in science and math in particular. I blame this solely on the religious organizations and their hatred for education. I think it's extremely sad how the religious organizations in this country are working so hard to destroy the education system. If test scores continue to drop and this hatred for education continues, we aren’t going to be the number 1 country for very long.

If your goal is to die and go to heaven, then aborting your baby would GUARANTEE he goes to heaven!!

I know..... you are going to say because "murder is a sin", but it's your sin, not your child's. Have it aborted, then ask for forgiveness.....

It's a win-win situation, so why not get pregnant as much as you can, and send a lot of people to heaven.

This is Roman Catholic.
Well yes, there is hope, if the rich man does penance and pray daily. Because today a rich man have to be careful with his wealth in order not to lead other to evil doing or sin.
He has to be careful not to be busted with the laws.
He have to becareful not to get sued for unfair behavior.
A Rich man wants to give alms in hidden quite way without even getting a Thank you in return and to get only some reward in heaven. But this is hard.
When rich man give away all his money to the poor then the poor become rich and ended up as he is poor. What will happened to the poor man when get to be rich? Well he be evil or good? Each one of us must lead all to God and not to hell as that what the just man does.
Please pray for the rich people to go about doing good in such a way as they will merited everlasting life for themselves and for other.
Jesus in the gospels never told exactly to each rich man to give away their wealth-right away. But to grow in hoiliness

I think they will. I think that Hindus and Jews will go to Heaven even if they do not accept Jesus.

Just as long as you are a good person, you will not go to Hell forever when you die. You will be saved.

I spanked my daughter last night for being unruly. I don't spank her very often, only when she does something truly horrendous. I got called to Children's Advocacy today for an investigation. I cannot have any contact with my daughter this whole weekend. I have never been without my children, and I don't know how I'm going to survive this. I need intense prayer. And I don't want to hear people say I'm a bad mother for spanking my daughter. "Spare the rod; spoil the child" She is not abused, but when she needs a spanking, I give her one. I've never had children's services called on me, ever. I just don't want to get her taken away from me. I love her too much. This has to be one of the worse days of my life. I just hope it doesn't get worse than this. Please pray for me and my daughter. Thank you and God bless.

If a person is a Born again believer & has repented for their sins & dies, where does their spirit go. I know I'm going to hear a lot of crude answers from crude non-believers but that's okay if that's the way you feel & live, I know God has a perfect plan for you & if not now but at some time you will choose to invite God into your life.

Sometimes I say there's no god especially around those strict religious ppl, but when I’m alone I wonder if there's god, and I will never try to find out b/c no matter what there'll be no prove! so what's the use? But I’m still open to the idea that there's the ultimate power (stars+planets) which is why I only believe in what I can touch, smell, and see.
And some other times I say "who knows, there could be god or goddess" so thinking that way makes me little bit of agnostic (I usually think this way only when I’m depressed or when things are confusing)
Even the evolution still don’t make since to me!
Would someone please find me a name to label myself? I feel so weird!!

The book hidden messages in water. Masuru Emoto takes water from the Fujiwara damn, freezes it and places it under a microscope and then has someone bless the same water and repeats the process. The unblessed water is ununiform and quite blah blah looking. The blessed water forms a beautiful snowflake formation. So this is not Gods work, its ours. What else can we do? Is anything possible?
