Maybe. Anyone here familiar with Vampire The Masquerade? I used to play - I'll admit it, I'm a gamer Geek. I know some people who incorporate this game and some other parts of the system fairies, etc into a religious belief. Now, I won't lie to you and tell you I don't make fun of them. I want to be open minded, but you shouldn't be so open minded your brain falls out. But it's a pretty intricate religion.
Also, I think right now cult is the more appropriate word (a small group of like minded peple who follow a Charismatic Leader), it could grow into something more. I mean, Let's face it, Christianity started as 12 guys following a Charismatic leader.

That's what the book was all about. A less than perfect love, that promises eternal life. Two lovers, in a mutually consuming affair. Feeding on each other for eternity, locked in an unholy embrace. Spooky!

I don't think you understand what a real vampire would be. A demon possessed man with the desire to tear into the flesh of any man woman or child for pure satisfaction of killing. He wouldn't love he wouldn't care he would just destroy lives. Is that something you would like to be apart of? If so get help!

It depends on what you mean by "vampirism". There are different groups of people who call themselves "vampires" and claim to practice "vampirism", but they can be very different from each other. I know of at least one organization that forbids the drinking of blood, many to keep some of the more loony people out.

No, it's a fetish. In some cases people do it to gain "power" but it's part of a larger cult/religion.

Vampirism is fictional. The wackos that take it seriously are mentally ill.

Religion is defined as a way of life and belief. "Vampirism" is just a very very stupid, evil, disgraceful and rediculous way of life and belief.
