I spanked my daughter last night for being unruly. I don't spank her very often, only when she does something truly horrendous. I got called to Children's Advocacy today for an investigation. I cannot have any contact with my daughter this whole weekend. I have never been without my children, and I don't know how I'm going to survive this. I need intense prayer. And I don't want to hear people say I'm a bad mother for spanking my daughter. "Spare the rod; spoil the child" She is not abused, but when she needs a spanking, I give her one. I've never had children's services called on me, ever. I just don't want to get her taken away from me. I love her too much. This has to be one of the worse days of my life. I just hope it doesn't get worse than this. Please pray for me and my daughter. Thank you and God bless.

We know Lord that her chose to discipline her child was one that she believed in Lord. We pray Lord for the people that are watching her child Lord and we pray Lord for the child Lord. YES, by all means I will pray for you.
Do you know WHO called children's services? They should be prayed for as well.
I do not understand for the life of me what the big deal is about spanking now a days.
When I was growing up, we picked our own switch off the tree to get spanked with.
As a parent you absolutely have the right to spank your child if he or she does something wrong.
You have not done anything wrong at all.
I understand, as I am sure many people will, and the most important thing is that GOD understands......like you said, it does say in the BIBLE to "Spare the rod, spoil the child"...

I will pray for you and your daughter.
My belief stands strong if my kids disobey me they get a smack on the bum. Abuse is one thing, discipline is another! Fine line? Leaving a mark and not explaining why the discipline was used.
I am not sure who called you in but, shame on them for doing that. The only time I'd ever call on someone is if I saw bruises and saw the parent hitting one too many times.
I spank once! And send them to their room. And I don't hit them while I am mad.

How terrible for you...how did they even find out in the first place...I NEVER spanked my children so this is kinda hard for me...maybe you will benefit from this..and think of this as a break...being away from your child is enough punishment for a any parent...take this time and think about your life with your child...when she returns you will appreciate her even more...
