If a person is a Born again believer & has repented for their sins & dies, where does their spirit go. I know I'm going to hear a lot of crude answers from crude non-believers but that's okay if that's the way you feel & live, I know God has a perfect plan for you & if not now but at some time you will choose to invite God into your life.

If they are born again, they will go to Heaven. Being born again means, to me at least, that not only have you asked God into your life, but that you are living a Godly life. You can't get to the father unless you go through the son. You have to know Jesus to get to God.

The Bible tells us that the instant you die, you are taken to heaven or Hell based on whether you had received Christ as your Savior or not. For believers, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord (2 Corinthians 5:6-8; Philippians 1:23). The moment we die, we face the judgment of God (Hebrews 9:27). Until the resurrection, though, there is currently a temporary heaven “Paradise” (Luke 23:43; 2 Corinthians 12:4) and Hell “Hades” (Revelation 1:18; 20:13-14).

In Luke 16:19-31 Jesus portrayed the afterlife at that time (hades) as a place in which is both paradise and hell separated by an impassible gap. People are apparently conscious there.

Don't know if that's still the situation since Christ's resurrection and ascension who "set the prisoners free". Paul says, "We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord." 2Cor 5:8, and "I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body" Php 1:23,24 and since the Lord is now in heaven perhaps we go there in spirit.

Well find out sooner or later

I seen some say they are sleeping. I will try not to say much but rather give you the scripture where they are at.

John 11:11-14 explains that sleeping is dead
Luke 16: 20-26 explains where they go and what happens. remember Jesus said lazarus was a sleep(dead).

2 Corinthians 5:8 tells when absent from the body where you are at.

I've seen many opinions on this and people will try to fight about this and every thing else. I'll give you the scripture and let it tell you. Because I am confident that the scripture speaks for itself.

A lot of people, even other Christians, will try to tell you that the person will go straight to Heaven when they die, but this is not what Scripture teaches. The Bible tells us in several verses that when people die, (saved or unsaved) they enter an unconscious state of "sleep" until Christ returns, at which time the saved will be resurrected from their graves and join the righteous living to be caught up to meet Jesus in the air. The wicked dead will remain dead for another 1000 years. The wicked living at the time of Christ's return will be slain by the brightness of His coming. The wicked will be resurrected to damnation at the end of the Millennium, at which time fire will come down from Heaven and completely consume them. They will not be tortured forever.

The souls of believers are at their death made perfect in holiness, and do immediately pass into glory; and their bodies, being still united to Christ, do rest in their graves till the resurrection.

Luke 23:43. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.

Luke 16:23. And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom.

Philippians 1:23. For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better.

2 Corinthians 5:6-8. Therefore we arealways confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: (for we walk by faith, not by sight:) we are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

hi friend
thats a very good question and you will find different people from different denominations will give you different answers and all seem to be able to answer it with some form of scripture from the bible.i believe when you die you are as a person who sleeps.when jesus was asked is this person dead jesus replied no she is asleep.every person from the time jesus rose into heaven till now that has died and recieved jesus as lord and saviour sleeps.if jesus came back tommorow and you died yesterday the time frame for you and the person that died the day after jesus assended into heaven in terms of perception is the same.the bible says that first those who died in christ will rise first and be caught up with him in the clouds on his return.then those who are still alive at that time and are saved will be next.
this is why i personally dont like when people tell others that have lost a loved one, that they are in heaven with God now and give them comfort differerent to what they should be getting.
you see friend what im saying here is if all are in heaven then what reason does jesus have for comming back for those that died in christ if they are already in heaven??
then there is the question of those that died before jesus assended into heaven what happened to them???the bible says jesus decsended down to hell and preached to the those that were there.does this mean he gave them too the chance for salvation?did they then sleep and wait with those who have died till now in waiting for judgement.?
maybee only those people went to heaven because they died before having the chance of being redeemed by jesus death.(the second covenent),therefore being under a different covenent (the fist covenant).who knows freind.i hope i shed some light on the answers you seek....stay in the light as i am in the light jesus said .may you be blessed as you search for the truth and may that truth set you free!!for jesus said for "whosoever the son sets free is free in deed" may he give you all the desires of your heart and your joy be full, for in his presence is fullness of peace and joy in the holy spirit.
your brother in christ jesus vlad.
