I am half Hispanic and all of my father's side of the family is Catholic. I was raised Baptist, but I claim to be just a Christian because I find flaws in every doctrine.

Here is where I have problem: I sometimes doubt on some of family memebrs (Catholics) are going to Heaven. I want to believe they will, I love them. But they take key things out of their relationship with Christ.

Praying to the Virgin Mary completely scares me. No biblical evidience supports this. But the way i see it, it is like having a false idol before God. Praying to someone else besides God is breaking the first commandment. I just do not understand this.

Some other problems are: asking a priest for forgiveness, believing the wine and bread is not symbolic when they eat and drink but really does turn to the body and blood of Christ when they do it, don't put a lot of focus on indvidual relationships with Christ, preists can't marry (everyday I hear of a priest molesting a kid). What do u think?

If Heaven is the place where everything is perfect and happy, how would you be able to enjoy it if you knew there were people in hell that you cared about?
For example, suppose you are married and the person you are married to realizes that they are an atheist shortly before they die. So when they die they are no longer a christian and your god is going to send them to hell. Will you be able to live in heaven happily knowing they are in hell? (I'm talking about HAPPILY married people.)
What if it is your mother, or one of your kids?
Hell is for all eternity and there is no way for you to smuggle them out and bring them up to heaven. So how is that heaven is a perfect place if you know they will be tormented for all eternity.

How come if God exists he didn't protect my godfather/uncle from dying this past Mother's day in a motorcycle accident? How come he didn't prevent the truck from hitting him off of his motorcycle? How come he didn't stop any of my loved ones who have died over the years?

how come when i ask a question like... "how can i help my new christian friends to grow spiritually", athiests come in and start cussing me out and saying how stupid i am, etc. i was talking to Christians only, which is why i marked the question "Christians only". what did i do wrong? how did i offend those athiests? by merely uttering the word "Christian"?

Would you say it was natural for a christian man in his 30s who is practicing sexual purity 110% in every way possible to have dreams (sleep) and effects (you know what I am talking about) I almost feel guilty for giving in to sexual temptation but it's while dreaming what can I do. this is a curious question...I have three bibles, two of which my grandmother has given me. The other one was given to all seniors. But I wonder...do people buy Bible's for themselves, or for others?
