how come when i ask a question like... "how can i help my new christian friends to grow spiritually", athiests come in and start cussing me out and saying how stupid i am, etc. i was talking to Christians only, which is why i marked the question "Christians only". what did i do wrong? how did i offend those athiests? by merely uttering the word "Christian"?

Actually what you asked was How can you convert your friend to your way of thinking. You asked how you could "free" him from his parents and move him into your way of thought. Your way of thought is fundamentally flawed and you can tell by the fact you can't even see it.

That is what you asked, not what you claim to have asked.

I just looked at your question to christians only, and there wasn't one single response that said you were stupid or cussed at you, etc... from an atheist.. interesting.. who is the one offended here? Seems you're propagating a lie in order to make people feel sorry for you.
And, to educate you, Catholics are followers of Jesus.. it's where your protestant churches come from... Catholicism is your mother church.. perhaps your time would best be spent educating yourself before you attempt to help someone else grow.

I don't believe for a minute that they come and cuss you out !
I think that's just made up stuff right there!

I' m not gonna cuss you out! what you want to do with your life is your choice! and by the way there are a lot of Christians trolls here that say they are atheists or agnostics and then get real evil on your behind !

SO BE CAREFUL WHO U JUDGE AND ACCUSE!!!!

Well, I'm not the target of your question, but I'll suggest something. Instead of asking, "how can I help my new Christian friends to grow spiritually," you could simply ask:

"How can I help others to grow spiritually?"

That way, you get many answers and no bile. The Christians who answer will be pretty obvious in their answers. And you never know if a non-Christian has some good insight that you would have never suspected before.

After all, why limit your answers to just one group of people? You can always pick and choose the answers that apply to you.

Look at this question. You didn't say "some atheists", you said "atheists". I only respond to stupid or interesting questions, most of the time. I didn't answer your other post, because I was not offended. Yet, you're accusing me of something here, when you say "atheists" or "they" instead of "some atheists".

And Catholics are Christians, whether you like it or not.

Two possibilities: (1) they have bad manners. (2) they feel you were ill mannered to ask for answers only from Christians. This is, after all, an open forum. Even if you say you want answers just from a certain subset, we are free to comment anyway. But they should do so with good taste and decorum.

What I mainly saw on that question was people pointing out the obvious. Catholics ARE Christians.

Perhaps I missed the cussing from Atheists? Or did you just make that up?

Yes.

I see people like that all the time (not all or even many). People come here to the R&S section and get offended when people talk about religion. Sounds weird to me, but they do have every right to be here, and just overlook the ones that do that, and remember not all or even many atheists are like that, and we do have some extremists in our religion as well.

By marking your question christians only you are taunting everyone not a christian to give you a smart azz answer. Just to let you know, you can't stop anyone from answering any question here. You would be better off to not label it "Chritians only"

Don't worry about what they think hun. You won't have to deal with them when you get to Heaven. There are no windows between Heaven & hell. You are a great Christian to be concerned about your friends. We need more Christians like you. God is smiling down on you. You will have many jewels in your crown & be able to look Jesus in the eye. To be persecuted is to be blessed. God bless you.
