It seems the non-believing world has a problem with Christians but even Christians have problems with some that profess to be Christians and are not.

The World doesn't want a definition of Christianity
The World wants a demonstration of Christianity

You know - walk the talk
Do what you preach, (though it seems some preachers have changed the preaching to suit the wrong DOing).

If you met a Christian that when he prayed, God answered and the preaching was followed with power which can be felt, as well as signs and miracles like amputated limbs growing, the dead rising, etc would you believe? Would you follow Jesus?

Isn't this like undoing God's work? Wouldn't it just be better if they chose their own way when old enough, like God wants?

RS reads: “Of the Son he says, ‘Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever.’” (KJ, NE, TEV, Dy, JB, NAB have similar renderings.) However, NW reads: “But with reference to the Son: ‘God is your throne forever and ever.’” (AT, Mo, TC, By convey the same idea.)

Which rendering is harmonious with the context? The preceding verses say that God is speaking, not that he is being addressed; and the following verse uses the expression “God, thy God,” showing that the one addressed is not the Most High God but is a worshiper of that God. Hebrews 1:8 quotes from Psalm 45:6, which originally was addressed to a human king of Israel. Obviously, the Bible writer of this psalm did not think that this human king was Almighty God. Rather, Psalm 45:6, in RS, reads “Your divine throne.” (NE says, “Your throne is like God’s throne.” JP [verse 7]: “Thy throne given of God.”) Solomon, who was possibly the king originally addressed in Psalm 45, was said to sit “upon Jehovah’s throne.” (1 Chron. 29:23, NW) In

...insist on trying to "refute" my points by quoting the bible?

I opened my email today and had three of these emails from christians quoting various passages which pretty much condemned me to hell.

As a rule, if I know that the person I am debating or trying to convince of my point does not acknowledge one of my sources, I don't use that source as the basis for a discussion.

For example, I am not going to quote the Qur'an when trying to argue with a christian because they do not believe in the "divinity" of that book.

So why do some christians feel that this will work on me?

And before you go and answer this with some "Oh you were never really a christian" or "you poor, poor soul", that won't work either. I know too much to ever blindly follow any monotheist faith ever again.

While waiting at a Bank Officer’s desk, I saw a lanky old man walking in with his need to open a Savings Bank Account to present a Government cheque expiring soon, he received in his honor as an Indian National Army Soldier. He presented his old school certificates to reveal his identity and told him that the Account will be used only once and that too related to this cheque. In the normal way any Bank Officer of the present genre would have him driven out. But this officer patiently heard him, asked details and handed over an application form and asked one of his assistants to help him in filling the application. I was deeply moved when wiping out his tears the officer asked me to observe the plight of freedom fighters who live unrecognized while we enjoy the fruits of freedom and our leaders go on draining our nation itself. I did not remain there long, but I am sure the poor old man got his job done and that too with great honour. How will you react to this noble gesture?

...foreign ministers of the Organization of the Islamic Conference said this week.

“It is something that has assumed xenophobic proportions,” they said.

The ministers described Islamophobia as a deliberate defamation of Islam and discrimination and intolerance against Muslims. They accused Western media of misrepresenting Islam and Muslims worldwide, according to a report in Arab News.

The linkage of terrorists and extremists with Islam in a generalized manner is unacceptable," the ministers said.

[In his words, The Pope or cartoons depicting Islam as a violent religion is worse than blowing up people and structures. In other words, keep quiet or you are worse than a murderer.]

Why do Christians support this idea? How about supplying condoms and birth control to teenagers who want it? Abstinence education is a great idea, but horny teenagers aren't listening. Wouldn't the responsible way to stop Std and abortions be to give them other options in case plan A fails?

Names are synonomous with"reputation", and most Bibles have kept the original names of God. The New World Translation has changed all of these names/reputations of God to YHVH or Jehovah.
In the KJV and many other earlier translations, God is referred to as "Lord", "Master ", "Almighty One", "Redeemer", "King", "Majesty", "Father", "Healer', etc..just to name a few.
Since God wants us to know Him by his reputation, isn't it important to know His other names/reputations??
How do you feel about this?
