the "Jesus tomb' documentary said pretty clearly that its going to be 1 in 5 million chance to be wrong, though its common name at the time, but mathmatically its one in 5 million chance to get it wrong, because all the names matches the bible, also his brother's nick name was on one of the tomb, so i guess Jesus was really just a human with a family?

Is it a religion or is it a cult? How do you define what and what isn't a religion?

Please, only sensible answers, I'm not in the mood for silly buggers this morning (or this afternoon!)

When one accesses Y A during a 4:00 A.M. “john”-trek, they have a psychosis. So is Yahoo Anonymous necessary?

Or will the stench from the dung-hill of insane statements deliver one from its insanity?

Is there any other choice? Because if you believed in something else, you would not be believing in God, which is still a choice pertaining to God.

your own mother of God was unmarried at the time of having Jesus. Surely as a Christian you have to do what they did. So that means it's ok to have children as long as you have a partner but are unmarried.

catholic are just one ofo many christian denominations. As far as I'm aware from reading the bible Jesus didn't stop certain people from having communion. why can't ALL those who believe in him have communion in whatever church they want.

Is there a scriptural reference? I’m not saying it is right or wrong, I just want to know where it comes from. It seems that it would be more of a personal opinion than a religious doctrine. Does the text address the pre-natal children of God?

I am considering becoming a jew. I have looked at becoming a cathloic before but I feel somehow the jewish faith appears to be more social and inclusive and has a real sense of true community. But is that a good enough reason; to want to belong to something because it appears more structured and social?

I just don't know. I don't have the first idea what their beliefs are either. I feel there is something missing in my life and there has to be more purpose than making money or pursuing empty unfulfilling relationships.

Am I just silly to consider it or should I speak with a Rabbi?

"Let the women learn in silence with all subjection. But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. For Adam was first formed, then Eve. And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression." (I Timothy 2:11-14)
Another case where the Bible makes it quite clear that women live for man and must submit to them.
"Man enjoys the great advantage of having a god endorse the code he writes; and since man exercises a sovereign authority over women it is especially fortunate that this authority has been vested in him by the Supreme Being. For the Jews and Christians among others, man is master by divine right; the fear of God will therefore repress any impulse towards revolt in the downtrodden female." (Read also I Cor. 11:3-12, I Cor. 14:34-36, I Peter 3:1-7, Ephesians 5:22-24, Col. 3:18-19.

Everyday our public school kids are forced to attend a class on religion. This class pushes a religion on our children and is funded by our taxes. If our kids disagree with the teacher, they are treated as if they were "stupid, insane, or wicked". The class is EVOLUTION. A belief system sponsored by the government. It is placed in a science class as a deception to attach some sort of truth claim to it. If you scan through the textbooks they use, there is information in there that has been proven innaccurate by the science community, but they choose to keep it in there anyway. Most states have a law requiring that our textbooks be accurate. Is anyone enforcing this? If they want to keep evolution in the science books... fine. Take out the disproven material in order to teach accurate information. If a mathbook had 2+2=7, would they continue to teach that just because the books says so?

What would he have to gain from creating fruit that his priority creation (mankind) could not eat?

And why did he let a snake in there to trick the creation that he loves so dearly?

If anyone says the snake is Satan tricking them and not God, I thought that Satan was banished to Hell so Satan couldnt possibly have been in the same place as Adam and Eve right? I could be wrong about this but it seems to make sense to me

But anyway...my main point is what was God's problem with Adam and Eve eating this fruit? Does God not like to share with the people he loves?

Most of culprits, sinners, alchohlic and adulterous Christians are being afflicted by God with STD (Sexually transmitted diseases) including AIDS, Hepatitis and painful torments. Why not you tell your god that Jesus has paid the price and do not afflict us due out sins, crimes and transgressions??? Or your sins, crimes and transgressions exceeded than price paid by Jesus?????

Call me crazy, but I have increasingly encountered a number of my fellow Christians who frown upon the use of any other version of the Bible except the KJV. The reason? I'm not sure, but I suspect that there as some who really believe that the KJV was written in the days of Jesus and the early apostles and that they all spoke English!!! Can anyone either confirm or contradict my suspicions about the KJV hangup? I don't really care what version one reads, but I think there's a problem with this.

I'm a Christian who receives (and enjoys) newsletters from JewsforJesus (thanks guys--keep up the good work!) I'm curious: I've heard reasons as to why many Jews do not use the name of God as stated in Exodus (YHWH, Yahweh, or Jehovah in KJV), and I've even seen some Jews write "G_d." Do Messianic's hold the same beliefs concerning the Father's name?

one of my friends goes to a church that just got a large donation to build some "family life center". it's pretty much a gymnasium with some sunday school rooms or some crap.

ever since this whole business started, the pastor has apparently been alienating most of the congregants. it's like that movie "Needful Things". half the church has left.

This is a pentecostal church. People don't think for themselves. The holy spirit does it for them. But apparently, the holy spirit is saying about 6 different things.

So.... aside from making his own religion look bad, what is God doing here?

A friend of mine is a Jehovah's Witness and we discuss this a lot. Though I'm not a JW myself (I was raised Baptist), I have never really subscribed to Jesus as being God, but rather taking Jesus at what He said: that is, His being the Son of God, which He constantly states in the Gospels. What do the Messianic's believe? Thanks:-)
