And why can't a Christian marry a Muslim? And how can they know your religion? Does the government keep records of your religion? Is the state not separate from religion?

i heard that there were some Christians that believed that Adam & Eve lived with the dinosaurs. I taught this was some kind of joke but there really are some people who believe that.

I'm not one to judge and i dont want to be ignorant, so can somebody explain their reasoning to these claims?

For quite some time, the (in)famous question,
"Can God make a rock so heavy that even He cannot lift?"
has been asked.

To combat this question, most people say that God cannot do the logically impossible and/or God cannot violate His own nature.

However, when I read verses, such as Matthew 19:26, Mark 10:27, Luke 18:27, Luke 1:37, Job 42:2, and Jeremiah 32:27, I receive the impression that God can do everything, all things, and anything.

I do not see nor deduce from the aforementioned verses that God can do everything, all things, and anything, except the logically impossible and/or anything against His nature.

In regards to my question, allow me to be more specific; Does the Bible say, indirectly and/or directly, that God can do everything, all things, and anything, except the logically impossible and/or anything against His nature?

Thanks for your time.
Sorry if it was too long.

We are not all the same. We hold a broad range of political views. All of the atheists I know are very nice people who are law abiding citizens. We are just like everyone else; some of us are very intelligent, giving, funny, loyal friends, some are not.

How come Christianity is the most bashed religion over any other theistic religion? Other religions believe that they are right and they do preach it. Atheists "push" their religion on Christians just as much and then try to disprove it . Calling us self-righteous is silly and ignorant. If anybody is self righteous, it would be them for trying and failing to "debunk" any religion. Because as far as they know, they know just about as much about God as we do. So back to the topic, why christians alone? Many other religions such as islam, judaism, and paganism all believe in "Gods"

Yet again, what is the point of even arguing about religion? Would anybody seriously break there own faith just because somebody said something over the internet? All I am implying is that it is basically pointless to try to argue because you would feel right but mostly the other person would see you as a fool. Nobody will simply "give in" to another religion by Yahoo Answers.
Thanks for your time,
Nick

I never see any other religions trying to force their beliefs down the throats of others (except islam).
Did it ever occur to you that people might not be interested in what you believe? And did it ever occur to you that people might find it obnoxious?

Please Read This whole statement before answering .Thank You very much! There have been hundreds of documented cases were people have died on the operating table and their heart stopped, and tell people that they went and talked to God about their life and all of the sudden would be in pain and come back in their bodies and live to tell the stories. So people would disclaim there story by saying it was in their mind but they would tell the doctors what instruments were on the top shelves in the operating room

Has the recent problems with Islam and terrorism made you think differently about religion and its place in the world? Or has it reaffirmed your belief that your religion is important in society and the only problem is a few crazy Muslims? After seeing the influence religion has in the Middle East in promoting freaks and nutballs, has that made any of you Christians hesitant about the relationship between Christianity and government in the US?

a true christian loves, cares and witness to others the truth about Jesus! We do not judge, hate or force anyone to accept Jesus. We witness and then we pray for that person. The rest is up to that person and its between them and God! Praying for the lost souls! Jesus loves you!

My reasoning is this: obeying God's words is far more important than learning them and God is willing to help us to obey and learn, therefore, it's not necessary to ask Him for help. In terms of worldly affairs, God does not play a big role at all. For instance, when we are sick, we go to a hospital. We all know God is not a doc. So, why should we pray that often?( I have been a Christian for 2 yrs now, but I have prayed only twice)

I'll be blunt. I'm a mama's boy, am pretty nerdy, and lazy. What are some good ways for me to prepare for my mission? Scripture study and Prayer are obvious, I'm talking more about how I can get 2 years without my family. I love my family a lot, and I can't picture 2 years without them, so what are some good ways to get by without seeing them? Preferred answers from those with loved ones on missions, returned missionaries, and other similar situations. Please, no mormon bashers here.

The verse quoted from 1 Timothy 2:5
It Shows us that there is ONLY one Mediator Who is Jesus Christ.
There is no place in the Bible that refer to the blessed Virgin Mary to be another mediator for the believing Christians !!!!!!!!!!!

I ask because the other day I told somebody that Peter and the other fishermen were probably akin to the rugged crewmen on Deadliest Catch, before Jesus called them to become fishers of men.

So that got me thinking, what if Jesus had selected his disciples from among the Alaskan crab fishermen? I think it could make a good skit.
