Please Read This whole statement before answering .Thank You very much! There have been hundreds of documented cases were people have died on the operating table and their heart stopped, and tell people that they went and talked to God about their life and all of the sudden would be in pain and come back in their bodies and live to tell the stories. So people would disclaim there story by saying it was in their mind but they would tell the doctors what instruments were on the top shelves in the operating room

I am an atheist and I do not know that I will have to face anyone when I die.

There have been hundreds of documented cases where people have had dreams and in their dreams they talked to god about their life and all of a sudden would wake up from that dream and tell the stories.

Evidence is something that people can objectively measure. Dreams, and wishful thinking are not objective.

Peace

There have also been hundred of cases where people had the exact same NDE when they were testing for the limits of how much G force a human can take. I guess that spinning around in circles must toss the soul out of the body.. Or wait, could it be lack of oxygen going to the brain.

Yes, this is the truth and I am sure I will get thumbs down for it, because people are so damned blinded by their faith that reason no longer applies to them.

Did you know that your irrational statement is only being backed up by circumstantial evidence of the weakest kind (witness testimony) and that for the 'hundreds of documented cases' there are billions of people who saw nothing during a near death experience?
Or how about the Buddhists who see the Buddha?
Or the Hindus who see Vishnu?
The Muslims who see Allah?
The Pagans who saw Saturn or Mithras?
If your god is the correct one, then why do these 'visions' depend so much on the culture a person was brought up in?

it was in their minds. the human mind is fascinating in that under extreme stress (like a near death experience) your subconscious will pull you out to a place that is more calming. talking with god is that place for many people. the patient may have seen the instruments on the top shelf before they were put under anesthetics and could recall the names or at least recognize them when seen them again.

and just because your heart stops doesnt mean your brain stops right away. you have a good amount of time before that stops so my hypothesis is probable.

I assume you're talking about near-death experiences. The problem with what you're saying is that there are many NDE's on record, and not all of them are pro-Christian. There are Muslim NDE's, Hindu NDE's, Buddhist NDE's, even Native American NDE's. People have had NDE's where they've experienced meeting Allah or the Hindu gods instead; what about them? You have to take those other cases into account if you're going to try to use things like near-death experiences to prove Christianity.

I have experienced the lack of oxygen to the brain before and have seen many vivid images and then blackness before coming to.

NDEs are what's known as "The Brain's Last Fling"

It's nothing more than misfirings of certain neurons due to a lack of oxygen.

Near-death experiences don't work for me. They are hallucinations of the brain clinging to the last moments of life.

If I told you I saw a pink tea cup telling me that I should go live on Pluto as my near-death experience, would you be so convinced?

As an atheist I would love to face God when I die. I have no aversion to the idea. Just no need for the belief.

Right. But you realize that people claim many different things. For example, "demons" visit me during sleep paralysis episodes....but that doesn't mean I believe in them. Our brains are very powerful organs. Even in this day and age, we do not fully understand the brain or know what are minds are capable of.

So how many people made that stuff up to convert people? They can say it because they have no evidence and people go on faith that they're telling the truth.
