Hello. I am a Muslim and i want to know why Christians have to go through Jesus to communicate with 'the big man'. Why don't they just speak to Allah himself ?

Many JWs have told me that Jesus has already come back, but invisibily. Which scripture indicates this in the bible?

They are also still expecting him to come back (again). Which scripture says he'll come back twice?

Thanks!

I have a friend who believes that because I am Jewish and she is ‘loosely christian’ as she claims, that it’s okay to steal from my house and my kids.

She thinks its okay because I have ‘denied Jesus’ and so therefore I am evil and I need to be punished. But something tells me that if she believes the bible, she would know that even on Christian standards she is the one who is behaving badly. As I recall in the Christian story, Jesus said to obey the commandments, one of them being to NOT STEAL. It doesn’t say, ‘thou shalt not steal, except from the Jewish people’. Nor does it say ‘thou shalt not bear false witness, except when the person you’re lying about is Jewish’. Or even, ‘do unto others as you would have them do unto you, except those Jews.’ It says:

Thou shalt not steal. (That means ever and it means everybody.)
Thou shalt not bear false witness. (Period.)
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. (First stated in Leviticus and copied by Jesus.)

So I guess my christian former best friend is burning in hell later, right?

((Paraphrased from a pamphlet I was handed))

What do you think of this argument? What does it mean that science changes? Why is an unchanging religion praiseworthy?

so.. for the purpose of this Q ... you are here on this planet to simply experience "stuff" ... there is no attached lesson nor praise nor punishment - just your choice to create what ever you choose.. for you ... what would that be
and why ?

oh, and please do not quote books or others in any way - this is about YOU!

thanks.. :-)

Isn't it interesting that so many atheists spend so much time in the Religion and Spirituality category with the intent to bebunk spiritual beliefs? Wouldn't you think that a true atheist wouldn't bother. Are these people mean-spirited or actually thirsting for information?

Right off the bat, you have two contradicting creation myths. In one of them, man and woman are created at the same time after the animals. In the other one, Adam is created first from dirt, then animals are created for him to han out with, and finally woman is made from his rib.
Likewise, there are two contradicting stories of Noah: one in Chptr. 6 and one in Chptr. 7.
It's really that simple people. The book defeats itself and makes no sense.

they please. But the moment a non-theist does the same thing we are attacked and derided? Why is so much venom spewed at atheists. Religious people usually don't treat each other that way. They at least pretend to respect other views if your beliefs are supernaturally based.
