"It's not God I have a problem with, it's his fan club I can't stand"

Personally, I like it.

I have no issue with people beleiving in god, allah, eris or the flying spaghetti monster. It's when they get all preachy about it and tell me I'm going to hell for not believing that I have a problem with it.

I'm cool with religion provided it's kept private.

Well, on some levels. I do have a problem with the Abrahamic deity, it is one of the most twisted creations ever to come out of the human mind. And as for the fan club, really Christians in the United States are much worse than in other countries, in both hypocrisy and disrespect. Travel around and in many countries Christians are pretty humble, down to earth people.

It's more the other way around for me, but I respect the right of everyone to believe what they wish.

Generally speaking, I agree. I would not go so far as to stereotype all people who believe in God, especially considering that I am one of them, but there are definitely a lot of religious people out there giving God a bad name.

Yes the fans get Him a bad name I think. Especially the fundamental ones.

His so-called fan club is his worst enemy.

I agree wholly with it. God's various fanclubs has a tendency to be quite extreme (some of them) and so many of them teach so many different things that you can't even differentiate if they are really from God himself.

Yes I agree. Someone once said, I like your God but I just don't like his followers.

lol, i've been quoted in saying if heaven is full of those people i'll gladly go the other way without regret. sometimes it's good to analyze why. i know certain people that bad mouth others constantly. i carefully ask them, "why?" They will say something like, "Because they are stupid!" "Why are they stupid?" "Because they are stupid!" Then it's a good time to take a mental note and drop it...
