The Ark that Noah built could hold 522 railroad cars?
The Ark that Noah built weighed about 34,000 tons?
That while building the Ark, Noah preached for years warning the people of God's coming judgement ...no one listened....They just laughed.
So sad.

Ophelia - If you were building an ark on your street, I'd ask what you were doing and you would tell me. That's a type of preaching. Preach = to talk, say

rofl. The ark didn't exist. It doesn't matter how big it was, the point is that it would have to be the size of a small continent. Is 522 railroad cars the size of a small continent? Or even the size of a small town?
You're talking two of every BILLIONS of species on the planet, their food, and 8 people to take care of them for 40 days.
Do you have any idea how insane that is?
Noahs Ark isn't real. Hell, even the Jesus in the bible said all the stories are parables but you Christians don't seem to get it. They're stories meant to teach a lesson. Thats what a parable is. They aren't meant to be taken litterally.

*No I didn't know that.
(Well I knew that Noah built the Ark and everything, but I didn't know:
The Ark that Noah built could hold 522 railroad cars
The Ark that Noah built weighed about 34,000 tons
.Very well said.
.Tell me more.
.(I'm not being sarcastic by the way.).
....But I did just learn something new today.
....So the saying is true....
"You learn something new everyday."

No, I must admit I did not know that. However, I am wondering where your data comes from. I'm told there was a structure which was believed to be Noah's Ark found somewhere near Mt. Ararat. Is that it? Or are you using extrapolations made from the information in the Bible story of Noah?

Did you know that no where in Genesis 6-9 does it say that Noah preached about God's judgment.
So sad that you don't know your Old Testament.
**And where does it say that people came up to ask him what he was doing? I don't see that anywhere in Gen. 6-9. But it's not your fault that the Ark story is a direct rip off of The Epic of Gilgamesh, so I forgive your ignorance.**

Anyone happen to know the displacement ratio that would be required to compensate for the 34,000 ton ark? Ie. the design that would be needed and was it even possible to build with the technology back then.

Did you know that it is mathematically impossible for the ark to withstand that much weight? Did you know that if the whole world flooded, Noah and his family would have drown from the moisture in the air?
Obviously not. So sad.

Personally I wold be like weirdo no way. But it is what it is. Are you a christian? I am
