I agree with Sun, and I am likewise horrified by all those who say it won't matter or that that's okay. Once again I take this as proof that Christianity is morally bankrupt. I cannot conceive how any of that can be okay.
I personally would become more powerful than Satan and rend the heavens to shreds if anyone made any kind of threatening or condemning motions towards my children. I would savagely murder any deity that tried to make me forget. I would have all the demons of Hell trembling before me if anyone tried to make my babies uncomfortable!!!!! (Edit: if you don't think I can, you have never seen me genuinely angry)
My wish is for peace and happiness for everyone. If my loved ones have it, that is all I need to be happy for ever. But we must remember that everyone is loved by someone. Therefore eternal suffering is not acceptable.
I think heaven and hell are self-created.

When we arrive in Heaven, we will not have anything to complain about or be saddened by. Revelation 21:4 tells us, “He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.” For a detailed description of Heaven, see Revelation chapters 21-22. Once we arrive in Heaven, we will be glorified and perfect. Our hearts, attitudes, and thoughts will be completely in agreement with God (1 John 3:2). If some of our loved ones are not in Heaven, we will be in 100% complete agreement that they do not belong there – that they are condemned by their own refusal to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior (John 3:16; John 14:6). It is hard to understand this, but we will not be saddened by the lack of their presence. Our focus should not be on how we can enjoy Heaven without all of our loved ones there, but rather on how we can point our loved ones to faith in Christ – so that they will be there.

While this is an interesting question, there's one problem with it:
Heaven would not be heaven if we were aware of who was missing.
If heaven and hell truly exist, then those who are in heaven won't be aware of who is in hell. This means that if my husband, or any other loved ones are in hell, I won't notice that they're not in heaven. I believe that our relationships change once we die, and go to where we're going to spend eternity. For example, when I meet loved ones who have gone on before me in heaven (providing I'm right, and there is such a place), I won't know what my relationship with them is/was, but I'll know that I knew them and loved them in life.

Good point. If I believed in the heaven and hell garbage I couldn't be happy knowing anyone was burning in hell. Its not thier fault they were created and had to live in a world of contradicting Gods.

The general answers I see to this question are frightening. Some say 'too bad it was their choice' while others say 'you won't even realize that your child isn't there with you'.
Neither is any heaven I would ever want to go to.
I believe that if Heaven exists, all people eventually get there.

I will be HAPPY YEAH!!!!! WHY? because they have the same oppurtunity you do to recieve Gods free gift of eternal life. If you choose not too, then off to HELL you go...p.s What you fail to realize is that marriage is for the humans on earth. heaven is beyond the realm of marriage or earthly love. But then if you are not a believer you probably didn't know that.oops:(

Do you think that you would prefer to be in Hell with them? You know if you went to Hell instead of heaven, you would never find your loved ones. It will be an unbelievably horrible place and your only comfort would be knowing that you had family there, somewhere. But would you really know for sure that they were there, NO, just another torment to add to your suffering.
God promises that in heaven there will be no more crying, no more pain, no more suffering only God's amazing love filling us up. Will we know our loved ones in heaven? maybe. But Jesus said that there would be no marriages in heaven.
