'Keeper'? Sounds like a Warden. Cain wasn't making excuses, he was accussing God. Much like the people I've heard ask, "If God's so perfect, how come there's so much suffering?"

So yeah, if you think the suffering is your fault, go ahead and claim the title of 'keeper'. It was, in fact, Cain's fault that Abel was dead. He was playing God.

God was Abels keeper. God is your keeper. God plays for keeps.

YES. Our brothers are being exterminated in Darfur, Sudan. We let God down during the Holocaust when we allowed a maniac to gain power and exterminate 13 million unfortunate innocent people. Can we make it up to Him today by working together to save our brothers and sisters dying by the thousands in Darfur?

I do not know about you, but I am not my brother's keeper. He has a reverend to tell him what to do so I would say that is his keeper.
