But there is a rational proof. t is called the argument from contingency. Why don't you believe it?

(1) Everything that exists contingently has a reason for its existence.
(2) The universe exists contingently.
Therefore:
(3) The universe has a reason for its existence.
(4) If the universe has a reason for its existence then that reason is God.
Therefore:
(5) God exists.

We've given proof over and over and over again. I myself have answered this same type question on yahooanswers quite a few times. Apparently, people just don't want to accept the proof I offer. I'll state it again. I feel God's presence in my life daily. It's an undeniable feeling, he has led me, guided me, comforted me, supported me, lifted me, forgiven me, throughout my 27 yrs as a born again Christian. It's an experience that I cannot attribute to anything other than God. He is real, even when I was younger, and I felt him leading me to do something I didn't want to do. I tried to ignore him, I tried to go the other way, I tried to get out of it, but he would not let me, It's a feeling in my chest I can't really explain. He's here, He is real and I believe in him with my whole heart and life. I can't give you any more real proof than that. Anyone who's experienced God like I have will tell you the same thing. Why would I continue to call myself a Christian and try to prove there is a God, if I was just making all of this up. It would get me nowhere and there would be no benefit in that. It is how I honestly feel and know he is working in my life. Experience it for yourself. Ask God to forgive you of your sins(and mean it) and ask him to come into your life. Pray to him and have a relationship like you would with a friend. Talk to him daily, read the Holy Bible and you will feel it too.

Look, it's called faith. If you believe, you see "proof" everywhere, and if you don't, you don't. I could you millions of personal reasons that I see as proof of a supreme being, and if you are a staunch atheist, you wouldn't be persuaded. But you know what? That's ok, as long as you're leading a good life, who cares? Not me =)

Science has limitations, and dealing with the supernatural is one of them. I might make the hypothesis that God exists, but then what experiments shall I design to test the hypothesis? What tests can I run (reproducibly!) to independently prove or disprove God's existence? What specific, observable quantity can I measure that is directly related to God's existence? Where are God's written and photographic records (or whatever) to provide physical evidence of a being that may or may not be physical at all, at least not in a way that makes sense to us? This is why there is science and there is also faith. You need science to deal with everything that's observable in the world and faith, in whatever form it takes, to deal with the rest.

If there is a god, there can never be proof of him That is a fallacy. Scientific discoveries are based on CONTRAST. If there does exist an omnipresent god, then everything is him and it is not possible to observe contrast (and thus determine his existence). This is by nature a scientifically unanswerable question.

How about over 2000 years of people trying to prove God doesn't exist?

If you ingore in the last 100 years: Padre Pio, Hucksby trial, Mount Sinai discovery, Fatima, San Girbaldi, Medjugorje... then sure I guess we haven't even the smallest bit of proof.

There is...
walk outside and you'll see it
especially at night
you see all the stars and do you seriously think that they all made themselves or that a bunch of gases exploded and just happened to form all the animals and all the beautiful sights you see all over the world?

I find it funny that some here are giving you their reasoning, but they haven't given ANY proof. Like big foot . . . anyone who believes they saw what they saw will tell they saw big foot . . . but where is the proof and how do they know FOR SURE??

Because Noas Ark Saved us all. It only took him 80 years to build it, which of course the wood wasn't pressure treated and thus rotted before he completed it, but that's besides the point. Oh wait, I guess that is the point. It couldn't have happened.
