Why are you so scared of dying when you're pointed a gun at or about to crash???

And don't give me the "instincts" stuff.

Phil 1:21 To live is Christ, to die is gain. We will all die sometime or another even you. Seek Christ while He may be found. He changed my life.

First of all, I want to know where you got your godlike superpower of knowing that every Christian thinks! Ah, but you knew I was going to say this anyway, so why did I bother?

Incidentally, let's pick on your grammar and syle a bit; it might help you be taken a bit more seriously.

Why are you so scared [Frightened or terrified is stronger.]of dying

when you're pointed a gun at [Avoid ending sentences in prepositions, and take care not to confuse the subject by awkward positioning of the verb; this would read better this way: "When a gun is pointed at you," or even stronger by avoiding the passive voice: "When someone points a gun at you." This could be made yet stronger by applying condescending adjectives to the subject and direct object in order to make the reader feel silly: "When a mere moral points an insignificant gun at you."]

or about to crash [You omitted the verb which means that the verb has to be supplied from the previous phrase, which makes no sense since the phrase was in passive voice. This would be better rendered: "Or are about to crash."

Here is the rewrite: Why are you so terrified of dying when a mere mortal points an insignificant gun at you or you are about to crash?

So, how do you know Christians are afraid when a gun is pointed at them or when they are about to crash? Do you point the gun or fly the plane? How do you know when a Christian is afraid? Are you a Christian? How can you tell a Christian from a Non-Christian? If I have time, I'm going to say a little prayer before I die. Not because I'm afraid of dying, but to ask forgiveness for the way I've lived from time to time. What are you going to do?

There is always natural fear of pain or death. Any person who
says different is deceived or in denial which is the same thing.

However, God doesn't call a Christian to die as a martyr and not give him or her the spirit of a martyr which transcends the human element and helps them rise above fear. If you want some real proof of this read "Foxe's Book of Martyrs" and see the horrible tortures inflicted on Christians and how they responded.

One man had hooks jammed into his skin and then ripped out
over and over by the Romans. He looked up to Heaven and said, "God, I thank you that I now have so many more mouths with which to praise you." Through all the pain and torture he endured which was much more than the one I mentioned he would sing praises and worship God which so infuriated the Roman Catholic Priests and the Roman soldiers that they finally killed him - I think with a spear through his heart.

God knows what we can endure, and His power is all we need to get through anything.

you do not could be a "chosen elite" to get to heaven. there are various of many lots of those who have placed their faith in Christ and could be going to heaven, so the question is slightly confusing to respond to. once you've study the Bible to any volume you'll discover what an elementary yet helpful message it truly is. it truly is a redundant e book that repeats many times that it truly is about Jesus Christ. it will be rather demanding to omit the message. i'm confident because it truly is all by the Bible who is going to heaven. The gospel message isn't a 12 step application. it truly is no longer all that complicated.

What? First of all, don't tell me how to answer a question, and second, there is no fear of what is to come, but there is certainly the desire to stay with our loved ones, children, etc.
A long time ago I had a baby girl who was very, very sick. She needed a heart transplant. Her father had died the year before, and I had no family members for
any emotional support, etc.
If I had gotten shot and killed, or if I crashed in a car accident, there would not have been anyone to look after my daughter.
Do you think it would have been somehow
more "christian" of me to be careless with myself? Was that the time to get hammered on jack daniels and dance in traffic?

You obviously are a God-hater, and thats your choice. But this question is nothing more than a real stretch in a feeble attempt
to criticize people of faith.

Today, I look forward to seeing my daughter very much, since she died about
9 months after the transplant. So why not
dance in traffic? Because now I have a son to care for, and he needs his mother.
In addition, if you had a single ounce of the knowledge of Gods Word, you would know that God does not condone the premeditated murder of any of his people, including ourselves.
Scared of dying? No, man only has fear of what he doesn't know or understand.
I both know and understand death quite well, thank you.

Not because we have doubts. Probably the first thing you think of is pain and then leaving behind family or children. But really Christians deep down(most of them), after initial thoughts go through their heads, feel peaceful about it because they know God is there. Some Christians are probably scared of dying, but most know what's on the other side!!!!!!!!1

I'm not afraid of death. I've been close to it too many times to possibly be afraid of it. HOWEVER. I am afraid of the pain that may come with death, however fleeting it may seem when put in perspective. I'm also concerned at what will happen to my family. I don't want to die before my mom does. For her to have to outlive one of her brothers, her parents, her husband of more than thirty years, plus numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins is bad enough. To outlive at least one of her children would be unconscionable.

After my mom dies, I'm ready to go any time.

For the record, even going over 100 miles an hour on the autobahn doesn't scare me anymore, unless it's raining.

I'm Christian. I know i'm NOT going to heaven. God's original purpose is that mankind live on earth, like the first humans, adam & eve. Just because they screwed everything up for us doesnt mean we are w/o hope. thats why jesus came to earth as a ransom sacrifice for us, "buying us back from sin" so to speak. And, through miraculous examples such as lazurus, jesus showed us that there will be a resurrection in the future. so, i believe that if i die will be resurrected when God's heavenly govt replaces that of mankind's on earth. that said, i am not SCARED to die, but if i were in one of the situations you mentioned, i would feel scared, because that is human nature. we arent meant to die. if we were, we wouldnt care if we lived or died.

As humans our GOAL everyday from waking to bedtime is to STAY alive... that's why we eat, and care for ourselves when we are sick and what not.
Christians believe in eternal life, meaning that our life is continuous, with just death of our physical body, which is at some point joined back with our spirit, in a flawless form. It's no contradiction to TRY to remain alive, (that's our whole goal as eternal beings) or be scared with a gun pointed at us... part of that is NO ONE LIKES PAIN. I don't think 'fear' is the right word, it just goes against what drives us as humans.
