If you believe in God and embrace religion, fine. If you don't, fine. Why do both sides insist on both arguing a point that they can't win, and trying to get the other to go along with their way of thinking.

Only in the arena of the unverifiable can people fully indulge in righteous indignation.

God is love.....Some people just like to argue. So they missed the point. People who believe in god have a ministry to share the good news and his love.Unfortunately some try to force their own religious opinions on others, and they turn others against god.A church is a fellowship of people who have the same belief system. and in that group you will have all kinds of discrepancies. So if you go to church, feed your own spiritual needs. Take what you learn and make your own decisions about it because even the preacher is not God.(Look at Jim Jones and his cyanide suicides!) No one should have the right to shove their views down your throat. and the funny thing is that the real truth about God is the opposite of argueing. P.S. I belong to the church of god doesn't live in a building on sunday. Even little children will tell you that Jesus lives in your heart!!

Because, if you believe in God, then you know the importance of knowing Him and His design for your life and the lives of all those who believe. If you were on a sinking ship and you knew where all the life preservers were kept, you wouldn't just get one and not tell everybody else where they were stored. And believe this in this analogy, there would be some that would argue with you as to the need of a flotation device.

It is a pertinient question, this God vs. no God thing. When the actions of world leaders are guided by the teaching of one God that says non-believers are evil and should be killed or at least ignored, it becomes a major issue. All of the major wars today stem from one side saying "my God can kick your God's butt" and the other saying, "my God says bring it on." Without God, small minded people have less to fight about.

It's the most interesting non-answered question in humanity, with lots of others attached like the creation (if any) of the universe, and the purpose (again, if any) of life. It really intrigues me to hear other peoples ideas, and I find it all fascinating.

As for the arguing part, it's kind of a guilty pleasure, but I see it as debating, arguing I'll leave for the ex-girlfriends haha.

One of the directives in the Christian faith is to convert others to Christianity. Don't you think this is going to cause some arguments, especially when there are some people who don't want to be converted?

Because true Christians don't want to see misguided people go to Hell for failing to recognize their sinful condition. We are talking about a belief that incorporates BURNING in Hell for all eternity.

If you seriously believed that would you want anyone to go there?

Because its something that cant be proved, so I guess they find fun in it. I say if you believe then its okay to try to convert people if they are willing, but if they aren't then leave it alone, and vise versa.

For some reason, atheists feel the need to belittle other people's beliefs. In my opinion, it only demonstrates their own insecurities.
