I don't know if they would become an atheist, but maybe they would finally start asking questions and not just be sheep.

First, Not To Belittle Your Level Of Intelligence But For The Sake Of Any Other Readers Of This Answer, The Word “Atheist” Simply Means Without Belief In GOD Or Gods. Secondly, It Is Common For Many Of The “More Intellectual Or Scientific Thinking” People To Become Skeptical About The Numerous Discrepancies And Conflicting Teachings Concerning GOD And Jesus Because Unfortunately Anyone Who Can Read And Speak Can Be Considered A Preacher Or Teacher Or Authority Of “The Word” While Many Of Those Same Are Truly Agnostic Teachers Themselves And Their Interpretations Of “The Word“ Frustrate The “More Intellectual Or Scientific Thinking“ People. Unfortunately, Some Of These Same “Agnostic Readers Of The Word” Have Led Many People Unto Becoming Agnostic / Atheists. Moreover, About Those Becoming Agnostic, Truly By Definition, Everyone Is Originally Agnostic But These Are Those Who Remain Agnostic. This Really Isn’t A Religion But Rather A Confession Of Their Religious Views Or The View / Philosophy Of Religion. The Word “Agnostic” Simply Means Without Knowledge / Not Knowing (Of Spiritual Truth) And Unfortunately Only Very Few Seem To Obtain Enlightenment. However, Many Atheist Know More About The Scripture Than Most Christians But Because Of Their Not Becoming Enlightened Unto Its’ Truth But Rather Receive It Simply As It Reads. They Become Discouraged, Disgusted And Then Sometimes Adversarial Even Becoming “Militant Atheists“. Now The Term “Militant” Simply Means Someone Who Is Aggressive Or Extremely Active In The Defense Or Support Of Something That Others May Find Unacceptable. The Word Comes From Latin Sources Meaning “To Be A Soldier - In The Military”. Moreover, The True Reason That Militant Atheists Become Malicious, Venomous, Discourteous Or Offensive And Even Strive To Destroy Anyone Else’s Faith, Is Because They Want To Display Their Intellectual Superiority. They Simply Can Not Comprehend That Your Level Of Intelligence Has Nothing To Do With Your Acceptance Of Good Over Evil Or That Even If They Deny And Oppose Something, Does Not Mean That Is Does Not Exist. Moreover, If Any Of The “More Intellectual Or Scientific Thinking“ People Want To Research Something For Themselves, Please Try This And See If You Obtain Any Knowledge And / Or Truth Of The Existence Of GOD. Here Are A Couple Of Scarcely Known Facts Concerning The Bible That You Can Prove In The English Translations Of The Scripture. Open The King James Version Of The Bible And Read The Book Of Jude It Is Only One Chapter With Verses Jude 1:1 Through Jude 1:25 And Then Read It In Reverse Jude 1:25 Through Jude 1:1. No Man Can Write Forward And Backward So Coherently. Try It With Another Book Like Job, Psalms, Or Revelations If You Dare. It Will Begin To Scare The Hell Out Of You. If You Want To Look A Little Deeper And I‘m Sure The “More Intelligent People” Will, Obtain A “Strong’s” Hebrew Concordance And Look Up A Hebrew Name. Each Name Has A Definition, So Read A Verse Using The Definitions Of The Names Rather Than The Names And It Will Tell An Alternant Story. Furthermore, You Can Look Up All The Verses Containing The Same Hebrew Name In Consecutive Order And Read Those Verses In That Same Order, They Will Read Like A Hidden Chapter. Again No Man Or Group Of Men Alive Or Passed Would Even Be Remotely Intelligent Enough To Have Originated This Scripture.

Could you please give me some examples of people who truly studied and read the Bible in context and became Athiests? I've read of many who went the other way around and were staunch evolutionists or non believers and got saved but none that were born-again Christians that turned away. Just because someone owns a Bible or had parents who sent them to church or just because you attend a church does not make you a Christian. Probably these people that you are talking about were never saved but only had the form of religion but no personal relationship with their creator.

No because being a Christian is a follower mindset. Jesus frequently referred to his followers as sheep. They would simply seek something else to follow if for some reason they found their leaders distasteful. Note how many people change congregations when a disagreement arises.
The most devout folks are usually the leaders and they relish the power and adoration which is why they choose to turn a blind eye to the contradictions and hypocrisy. To them it's worth it.
I personally chose to make my own decisions and cease being a puppet. You don't have to read a Bible to make that decision. But sometimes open-minded folks who see it for what its worth come to that conclusion naturally.

Contraire, If more Christians "really" read the Bible objectively they might realize that it is genealogy of the Jewish bloodline from Adam to Jesus. They might also not limit God to one race of people. What about Moses and the creation story? Well, I am sure you already know it was the result of "campfire chats", but what you might not have considered is that those stories were handed down to him by his "loving" ancestors? (Not to limit future science nor future developments.) --- Well, I could go on forever, but I am sure you get my drift.
Well, okay, one more comment: I am a Christian in that I try to follow the advice and wisdom of Jesus, which were very similar to Confucious, Gandhi, Sidhartha, and even Mohammad in his early years. (Yes, when I read and study the words of Jesus, the spirit comes over me and confirms that all will be well, after my stay here on Earth; Just like Jesus promised that he would send the Holy Spirit to witness to us.)

The more I read the less I believe. I don't know if I'll ever consider myself atheist or not but I no longer consider myself Christian either.

I wish anti theists would stop saying how many times they read the bible and how much more they know about it than Christians. Not true, not true. Atheists generally don't know squat about it. Saying they have read it cover to cover several times, total bull.

I depends how stupid they are. If they realize that God didn't write the bible and it was written by man then they would allow room for flaws. If they think every thing is supposed to be perfect then they may get confused and become atheists.

There are many people who claim to be Christian because they own a Bible; the opening up and reading would spread the word even more.

Explain all those Atheist's who did read the bible and became Christians...Like myself...and Like almost every person I have known in my lifetime.
If more Atheist's would not just read the bible, But use their ability to UNDERSTAND it...Then maybe they wouldn't have gone anywhere.
You can't just read the bible, You have to Understand it with all of your heart....
Maybe that won't make you believe, but you won't question why people believe it the first place if you understood it.

No, a lot of atheists claim the Bible was one of the main reasons they turned away, but I think it lies in the fact that once they got confused instead of asking a religious person or even a neutral source, they began believing the anti-Bible websites. Which are extremely biased.
