I went this year, to the last week at Skegness. I really enjoyed it. There was lots to do, but I just did a few things and took time to relax.

The Butlins resorts aren't exactly the classiest premises, but it was very cheerful and everyone was very very nice, especially all the eastern european domestic staff.

I'd recomment going - trying it once at least. I'm goign to try to book a group from my church to go next year.

They say they are mutli denominational at S.H., althought they are very much on the evangelical side rather than the high church side. People set in their ways of having liturgy every week (like at my church) might not feel so at home, but I really enjoyed it because it was fresh and different.

They have a spa, a pool with flumes, a "quiet zone", fairground rides, a fabulous Christian book stall, a music stall, tents and tents and tents full of stuff to see. I think you can't go wrong, as long as it doesn't put you in the red financially....some poor people may find it expensive.

Yeah I been several times, mainly when I was younger. The atmosphere is amazing, when that many Christians get together there is no doubting that God will be in there midst.
Spring Harvest catters for all ages and brings together the best Christian speakers and throws in some of the Greatest worships bands. However I tend to prefer Soul survivor as a christian festival though it is targeted more at teenagers

I went several years ago. It was really good to get together with so many Christians of every denomination. The praise meetings were great and the discussion groups and lectures were superb. It was actually a culture shock to come bak into 'reality'. It gives a great insight into what a Christian community could be like.

Spring harvest? Most people harvest in the autumn. I'm curious. (No, I've never been there.)

I've been a few times, it's been fairly enjoyable, mostly to the ones held at Minehead.
However, since I have Asperger's Syndrome, it's a bit wearing being around so many people, but I feel it's been worth it.

I went when I was quite young (like 6 or something), all I remember of it was that it was cold, and me and my sister spent a lot of time sitting on the floor with a lot of other children not really knowing what was going on. I think the place was called 'Minehead', it was quite pretty. I think I was too young to understand everything that was going on.

I went a couple of years ago. I think it's great, I learned a lot and got really spiritually recharged. However my daughter was a bit too young and didn't settle into her children's group, so I kept getting called out from seminars to go and settle her down!

20 years ago, when I was still a christian. I found it very energetic and exciting, since I had never experienced mass religion on that scale before. I view it differently now, of course.
