In Revelation 20:5, 6 we read, "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."

**The Lord speaks of being born from above (born-again) in John 3:1-8.

***Colossians 3:1 states, "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God." When a person gets "saved", they do not get a new body....they get a new soul or heart, ie., new resurrected soul.

When people say that life is complex, therefore it needed a creator, atheists respond by saying that the creator (god) is also complex, so then who created god?
The point is that if you can believe that GOD didn't need a creator, then why not believe that LIFE didn't need a creator?

But what theists say is that God is not complex, they say that he is simple. But how can you say that?

God is far from simple. This is a higher power that designs universes, raises from the dead, wreaks miracles, cares about your welfare and simultaneously monitors the thoughts of all his creatures and answers all of their prayers!
That doesn't sound "simple" to me. That sounds highly complex.

With the Catholic revison of dogma, they have removed Limbo. A place of green fields and eternal twilight. So those unsaved, innocent, enlightened, or those who died before the Crusafixion (sp?), now all go to Purgatory (which is "working" to be holy enough to go to heaven) or deeper into Hell. Other sects of Christianity feel the same.

If it is the so called "will of god" that you come down with, say, cancer, then who are you to interfere with god's plan and will?

If only god can decide when it is time for you to 'go home to the kingdome of heaven' then why would you circumvent his decision to take you with cancer, or a bad heart or something?Aren't you cheating god's will and plan that way? Aren't you cheating god altogether?

And thought their survival was a sort of "miracle"??

Shouldn't they have CURSED God for what he put them through?

And if it was a miracle, what part did the 1500 deaths play in the Miracle???

Some Miracle, HUH?

I heard these girls bitching about me and laughing in English today than I started to freak-out, when I looked over and realised they were all staring at me.

Than I thought God's opinion was the only one that matters, and hes forgiven me for all the horrible stuff I've done, so it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks or knows about me, because its like it never happened. Than I felt relaxed and could concentrate again.

I've been thinking about it all day.

Also if they do know stuff about me that I'd rather keep as skeletons in my closet, that just means one less thing I have to hide from them right?

Nietzsche blamed Christianity for what he regarded as the three great evils of the modern world: socialism, feminism and democracy. His idea was that the basic mistake taught by Christianity was the equality of everyone in the sight of God. It is clear that these three things have largely developed in Christian nations (though democracy has its roots in pagan Greece).

Nietzsche also blamed Christianity for teaching the value of compassion rather than domination.

Was he right?

Who in here trusts God for forgiveness, salvation, eternity?

If you don't "know" or acknowledge God; there's no need in answering. Thanks.

Should American soldiers go to hell for abusing helpless prisoners and literally feeding them to dogs?

What is your unbiased opinion? What kind of ridiculous religion can send such heinous criminals(soldiers) to heaven?

Certainly, not "all-good". But hypocritical to say the least!

Yes I know I'll get a few obnoxious answers but never mind. Can anyone tell me what happens to gold /silver etc, jewellery left on the deceased when cremated. Do the metals used in jewellery vapourise. I am told that artificial joints are seperated from the residue after the burn and before the ashes are cremulated (ground into a fine powder). Are there regulations prohibiting the incineration of jewellery. I also wonder if precious stones deteriorate or if they are unaffected by the intense heat.

Is it this warm and fuzzy feeling you get?

I've been going through some christian sites looking for 'miraculous' events and they all seemed to be open for multiple explanations. What is it that makes you go 'miracle' and not 'coincidence'?

Lets see what they did in Iraq...

- Attacked the nation with other countries armed forces and launched attack on civilians.

- War was caused by Weapons of mass destructions which are never found!

- Iraqi civilians die everyday and the numbers keep rising.

- Iraqi men were abused and literally fed to dogs and taken pictures of them by American and British soldiers!!!

- Bush said "God" actually talked to him and guided him to the war.

- What do you think, do American soldiers deserve a place in heaven?

What kind of heinous religion will allow such mass-murderers in heaven?
