People in almost every land recognize Jehovah's Witnesses as people who are serious about their Bible-based beliefs and desire to share them with others. If you have found the information they have to share appealing and are interested in becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses yourself, then read on.
Steps
1. Have a desire to know more about the Bible.
2. Request a free home Bible study, this can be done in one of three main ways: a) ask for one when they come to your door. b) Call or go to your local Kingdom Hall and request one. c) Send in a written request online at watchtower.org
3. Study the Bible for some time with the help of an appropriate study aid publication and a qualified instructor. (Since they all receive the same training, any one of Jehovah's Witnesses in good standing is qualified for this - there is no elite clergy class set aside for the teaching and preaching work)
4. Ask as many honest and heartfelt questions as it takes to determine if what you are learning it true. Persist until you have found satisfying, Bible-based answers.
5. Apply what you are learning. Seek the assistance of your study conductor, wholesome Christian association and your local elders to do this.
6. Associate with Jehovah's Witnesses at their regularly held meetings.
7. Speak to your Bible study conductor and elders to find out how you can qualify to preach about Jehovah.
8. Make a heartfelt dedication in prayer to serve God forever.
9. Meet with your local elders to determine if and when you are ready for baptism.
10. Make a public declaration of your private dedication to Jehovah through water-immersed baptism at a public meeting (usually assembles & conventions) of Jehovah's Witnesses
Tips
* The publication 'What does the Bible Really Teach?' is an excellent starting point for learning the Bible.
* The brochure 'What Does God Require of Us?' is a condensed version of what the bible teaches about God's requirements.
* Jehovah's Witnesses are unified in their beliefs throughout the world, so you can progress in the same way no matter where you live.
* Knowledge about Jehovah and his son Jesus lead to rich blessings in this life as well and everlasting, peaceful, happy lives in a restored paradise Earth. (John 17:3; Psalm 37: 11,29)
* A great online source for additional info can be found at: http://www.watchtower.org/
Warnings
* Everyone must make some changes in order to serve God. Most make very dramatic ones. If you are unwilling to give up bad habits or practices that God hates, becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses may not be for you.
* Baptism is only the beginning, you must be determined to continue serving Jehovah forever.
* All of Jehovah's Witnesses are committed to preaching the Kingdom Good News. This will be expected of you by the time you are baptized, but you will have plenty of help getting there.
* Some people will not like to see you studying the Bible and may try to block your efforts, but Jehovah and his earthly organization can help you overcome any opposition.
* Taking on a new religion (especially Jehovah's Witnesses) is a big change, and it takes a large amount of dedication and discipline, make sure that you are truly interested, not just searching for a quick fix or just diving into the religion for emotional / psychological distraction.
* Jehovah's witnesses cannot accept blood transfusions.
Things You'll Need
* A sincere desire to learn more about the Bible. (The actual Bible(s) and study aids you'll need can be provided for you once your study begins. You can use your own Bible if you prefer.)
* An open mind and an honest heart

Hi.
Well, the first step would be to contact one of the local Kingdom Halls in your area, or click on the link below in source. This way, you can sit in on a meeting, and afterwards, you could ask someone to have a free home bible study with you. I'm sure someone will be willing to do this whenever you have the time.
Hope this helps.
*Another Tip* - the only official site of Jehovah's Witnesses, is watchtower.org. All the rest are more than likely set up by hate sites with false info. But with any religion, the only way to find out the truth about them, would be to go to the source.

Those who are interested in becoming a Jehovah's Witness must assimilate accurate knowledge about Jehovah God and Jesus Christ studying the Bible, have faith that the Bible is God's inspired word, share bible truths with others becoming an unbaptized publisher, repent (recognize that humans are imperfect and that they need God's forgiveness), convert (reject the way of life from the past and be firmly decided to do what is right), dedicate to Jehovah through a prayer in which he promises to give God exclusive devotion.
Before a person being baptized as a Jehovah's Witness he has to prove that he understands what the Bible really teaches and that he changed his way of life. Personal responses to over 100 questions on Bible teachings help the elders to determine whether those responding meet Scriptural requirements for immersion.
"This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ." -- John 17:3
"Moreover, without faith it is impossible to please [him] well, for he that approaches God must believe that he is and that he becomes the rewarder of those earnestly seeking him." -- Hebrews 11:6
"Now because we have the same spirit of faith as that of which it is written: “I exercised faith, therefore I spoke,” we too exercise faith and therefore we speak." -- 2 Corinthians 4:13
"Repent, therefore, and turn around so as to get YOUR sins blotted out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the person of Jehovah." -- Acts 3:19
"For Jehovah your God in your midst is a God exacting exclusive devotion... " -- Deuteronomy 6:15
"For with the heart one exercises faith for righteousness, but with the mouth one makes public declaration for salvation." -- Romans 10:10

Jehovah's Witnesses do not want anyone to get baptized even one moment before he is ready (and qualified).
Becoming baptized as a member of the Christian Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses is not a trivial step. Generally, a student must demonstrate months of regular meeting attendance and public ministry, then must himself express the desire to be baptized. The candidate then spends hours answering hundreds of bible questions wherein he expresses both a clear understanding and personal conviction regarding Jehovah's Witness teachings in at least three separate interviews with three different elders. The candidate must vocally agree to be baptized in front of hundreds or thousands of eyewitnesses, and must be publicly immersed in water. This is not a momentary emotional decision by an unreasoning child. Dedication as a Witness requires hard work and determination.
Baptism has important spiritual meaning, related to one's relationship with God and Christ. Of course, a dedication can be made in one's heart, and of course a heart-felt dedication is more important than any half-hearted immersion in water.
(1 Peter 3:15,16) But sanctify the Christ as Lord in your hearts... Hold a good conscience
(Ephesians 3:17-19) Have the Christ dwell through your faith in your hearts with love; that you may be rooted and established on the foundation... and to know the love of the Christ
But (to be fair) Jehovah's Witnesses do believe the bible to teach that baptism is required for a person to demonstrate a complete repudiation of his former association with this "system of things", and thus be free from its "community bloodguilt" (see 'The Watchtower' 11/15/1995, pg 15-20). What degree of bloodguilt is tolerated by Jehovah? Jehovah's Witnesses prefer to stay well inside any margin of doubt. In any event, the typical JW student is moved by love (rather than duty) to eventually recognize baptism as necessary for himself personally.
(1 Peter 3:21) This is also now saving you, namely, baptism, (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the request made to God for a good conscience,) through the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
It is perhaps noteworthy that an unbaptized person who follows the bible, associates with the congregation, and joins in their ministry is called "brother" or "sister", is considered "a believer", and may even be called a "Jehovah's Witness" all before he is baptized. However, he cannot be called "in the Lord" or "in the Christ" until he himself publicly declares himself so by valid water immersion (see 'The Watchtower' 7/1/2004, pg 30-31).
Naturally, Jehovah's Witnesses do not pretend that Jehovah cannot preserve alive anyone he wishes to preserve. Jehovah's Witnesses also have unlimited confidence in Jehovah's wisdom, love, justice, power, and mercy in selecting whom he will for eternal life. Certainly, Jehovah can read hearts.
(1 Samuel 16:7) Not the way man sees is the way God sees, because mere man sees what appears to the eyes; but as for Jehovah, he sees what the heart is.”

Copycat clues here! The Asker might be a JW and Mr Cal continued the copying from Wt.Soc literature - screeds of it. All I can say is, it's all too easy. Like falling off a log.
The most likely candidates are those currently going through an emotionally difficult experience; the JWs contact them, show [genuine] sympathy, tell them all their worries will soon be over as Armageddon is about to erupt and then there will be a paradise earth with their dead loved ones resurrected back with no illness. My parents were swept into the religion that way. Their firstborn was run over by a bus aged 5, shortly after which the JWs called. My parents were so convinced they'd get their child back soon, they used the money they'd saved for a gravestone to buy a car, to travel around prosyletising for their new faith. Over 70 years passed by, no Armageddon, still no gravestone. My parents had themselves cremated. Dare say they couldn't bear to be laid to rest on top of the child whose mortal remains were still in the ground and they'd never even marked his spot. But the JWs still spin the same line and loads of people are baited. Of course, they sincerely believe it themselves. It's so terribly sad.

Ok I am christain and even had them come into my home and did a home study. But why become one of them. There is other religions recognized world wide and are serious with bible studies. You have to gave up things to be Jehovah. Like b-days, x-mas,forth of July's cook outs, no military, and might not be able to have life saving surgery because it goes against the bible. They have tooking the bible and changed some translations to the real translation they claim. Who knows if that is truth. And if the watch tower was destroyed they would be like ants running around because they lost there scent trail. If you want serious bible studies keep searching. They are out there.

3. A father should work hard to care for his family. He must provide food, clothing, and housing for his wife and children. A father must also provide for his family’s spiritual needs. (1 Timothy 5:8.) He takes the lead in helping his family to learn about God and His purposes.—Deuteronomy 6:4-9; Ephesians 6:4. A wife should be a good helper for her husband. (Genesis 2:18.) She should assist her husband in teaching and training their children. (Proverbs 1:8.) Jehovah requires a wife to care for her family lovingly. (Proverbs 31:10, 15, 26, 27; Titus 2:4, 5 - She should have deep respect for her husband.—Ephesians 5:22, 23, 33.
5 - God requires children to obey their parents. (Ephesians 6:1-3.) He expects parents to instruct and correct their children. Parents need to spend time with their children and study the Bible with them, caring for their spiritual and emotional needs. (Deuteronomy 11:18, 19; Proverbs 22:6, 15 - Parents should never discipline their children in a harsh or cruel way.—Colossians 3:21.
6. When marriage mates have problems getting along together, they should try to apply Bible counsel. The Bible urges us to show love and to be forgiving. (Colossians 3:12-14) God’s Word does not encourage separation as a way to solve minor problems. But a wife might choose to leave her husband if (1) he stubbornly refuses to support his family, (2) he is so violent that her health and life are in danger, or (3) his extreme opposition makes it impossible for her to worship Jehovah.—1 Corinthians 7:12, 13.
Marriage mates must be faithful to each other. Adultery is a sin against God and against one’s mate. (Hebrews 13:4) Sex relations outside the marriage is the only Scriptural ground for divorce allowing for remarriage. (Matthew 19:6-9; Romans 7:2, 3.) Jehovah hates it when people get divorced without Scriptural grounds and marry someone else.—Malachi 2:14-16.
If we want to serve Jehovah, we cannot hold on to any of the teachings or customs of false religion. We must get out of false religion and not support it in any way. (2 Corinthians 6:14-18. Revelation 18:4) Once we have learned the truth about God, we must be careful not to be misled by people who teach falsehoods.—2 John 10, 11. We should avoid sexual immorality and other unclean practices of this world.—1 Corinthians 6:9-11. Liars will not enter God’s Kingdom. (Ephesians 4:25 - Revelation 21:8.) Christians do not use bad language. They do not listen to or tell dirty jokes or unclean stories. Because of their clean speech, they stand out as different at work or at school and in the neighborhood.—Ephesians 4:29, 31; 5:3.
. Fornication: Sex before marriage, adultery, bestiality, incest, and homosexuality are all serious sins against God. (Leviticus 18:6; Romans 1:26, 27; 1 Corinthians 6:9, 10) If a couple are not married but are living together, they should separate or else get legally married.—Hebrews 13:4.
3. Jehovah God cannot lie. (Titus 1:2) Persons who want his approval must avoid lying. (Proverbs 6:16-19; Colossians 3:9, 10.) (Ephesians 5:3-5 - And Christians do not steal. They do not knowingly buy stolen property or take things without permission.—Exodus 20:15; Ephesians 4:28.
It is not wrong to drink a little wine, beer, or other alcoholic beverage. (Psalm 104:15 - 1 Timothy 5:23.) But heavy drinking and drunkenness are wrong in God’s eyes. (1 Corinthians 5:11-13; 1 Timothy 3:8.) Drinking too much can ruin your health and disrupt your family. It can also cause you to give in very quickly to other temptations.—Proverbs 23:20, 21, 29-35 - Birthdays: The only two birthday celebrations spoken of in the Bible were held by persons who did not worship Jehovah. (Genesis 40:20-22; Mark 6:21, 22, 24-27) The early Christians did not celebrate birthdays. The custom of celebrating birthdays comes from ancient false religions. True Christians give gifts and have good times together at other times during the year.
Jehovah is the Source of life. All living things owe their life to God. (Psalm 36:9) Life is sacred to God. Even the life of unborn children inside their mother is precious to Jehovah. To kill such a developing baby on purpose is wrong in God’s eyes.—Exodus 21:22, 23; Psalm 127:3.
2. True Christians are safety conscious. They make sure that their cars and their homes are safe. (Deuteronomy 22:8.) God’s servants do not take unnecessary risks with their lives just for pleasure or excitement. So they do not share in violent sports that deliberately hurt other people. They avoid entertainment that encourages violence.—Psalm 11:5 - John 13:35 -
3. Animal life is also sacred to the Creator. A Christian may kill animals to provide food and clothing or to protect himself from sickness and danger. (Genesis 3:21; 9:3; Exodus 21:28.) But it is wrong to mistreat animals or to kill them just for sport or pleasure.—Proverbs 12:10.
The Bible teaches that only a few people are on the narrow road to life.—Matthew 7:13, 14.
The most outstanding mark of true Christians is that they have real love among themselves. (John 13:34, 35 - They are not taught to think that they are better than people of other races or skin color. Neither are they taught to hate people from other countries. (Acts 10:34, 35 - So they do not share in wars. True Christians treat one another as brothers and sisters.—1 John 4:20, 21.
6. True Christians must preach about God’s Kingdom. Jesus did so. He always talked about the Kingdom. (Luke 8:1) He commanded his disciples to preach this same message in all the earth. (Matthew 24:14; 28:19, 20) True Christians believe that only God’s Kingdom will bring true peace and security to this earth.—Psalm 146:3-5 -
1. To become a friend of God, you must obtain a good knowledge of Bible truth (1 Timothy 2:3, 4), put faith in the things you have learned (Hebrews 11:6.), (Acts 17:30, 31), and turn around in your course of life. (Acts 3:19) Then your love for God should move you to a personal, private prayer where you tell him that you are giving yourself to him to do his will.—Matthew 16:24; 22:37.
2. After you have made your dedication to God, you should be baptized. (Matthew 28:19, 20) Baptism lets everyone know that you have dedicated yourself to Jehovah. So baptism is only for those who are old enough to make a decision to serve God. When a person is baptized, his whole body should be put under the water momentarily.—Mark 1:9, 10; Acts 8:36.
3. After you have made a dedication, Jehovah will expect you to live up to your promise. (Psalm 50:14; Ecclesiastes 5:4, 5 - The Devil will try to stop you from serving Jehovah. (1 Peter 5:8.)
