In Revelation 20:5, 6 we read, "But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years."

**The Lord speaks of being born from above (born-again) in John 3:1-8.

***Colossians 3:1 states, "If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God." When a person gets "saved", they do not get a new body....they get a new soul or heart, ie., new resurrected soul.

It's BOTH metaphorical AND literal. When we're Born Again, our souls are granted eternal life. However, we are not granted eternal life for our bodies -- yet. The resurrection of the dead bodies of believers is a promise that will happen when Jesus re-appears to "catch up" His Church:

1 Thess. 4:15 For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.

Also included within this literal First Resurrection are the Old Testament saints (whose souls were already) and believers who are killed during the Tribulation. Both of these are resurrected after the Tribulation has ended, but before the Marriage Supper of the Lamb.

No.
The first resurrection is the resurrection which occurs when the Lord descends from heaven to catch away His Church before the Dy of his wrath is poured out upon earth and the government of Antichrist.
I Thessalonians 4:13-5:11; I Corinthians 15:50-58

Read verse 4 - this is the first resurrection being described!

4)I saw thrones on which were seated those who had been given authority to judge. And I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded because of their testimony for Jesus and because of the word of God. They had not worshiped the beast or his image and had not received his mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

God the daddy is the Holy Spirit. He calls all adult males to repentance. maximum do not listen. God's spirit can't enter into an unclean vessel. So until eventually a guy is born back, until eventually he's cleansed and made Holy through the blood of the lamb, the Holy Spirit gained't enter the guy. So the guy is kept, born back besides the indisputable fact that the Son of God and this given him get admission to to the Holy Spirit of God. yet, do not get this flawed with the baptism of the Holy Spirit which resources adult males the skill to wish the perfect prayer, to wish in tongues. This baptism is an similar baptism the apostles received on the day of Pentecost. This baptism does not keep a guy. This baptism empowers the guy, not through his personal capacity, yet through his submission to the favor of God.
