I am not a religious person but I know God is real. Sometimes I question the stories of the bible, but I know there is a greater being that some how watches over us. I do believe he created us. I don't know if the story of Adam and Eve is true but I believe God is real. How do I know? I have felt him and he has talked to me. Even my six year old tells me that God talks to her. She prays to herself. I didn't raise her to be religious because I don't feel organized religion is for me or her however I feel we can connect with God through prayer. What's your take on this?

ok, from what I see, all it takes to be successul is a determined mind. If you look at history and some of the biggest bastards out there; Hit.., Europeans conquering America, etc, they all succeeded in their plans. What I want to know is, why doesn't God intervene with such plans; it seems it's all just about will power and where does that leave the hot shot?

Do you know what sin is? Just cause you dont believe in God does not mean you have never sinned. Sin is a trangression of the law. Have you ever lied? Have you ever taken something that was not yours? Cheated on a test? While driving have you gone faster then the speed limit? Destroyed someones property? Think about it. Have you ever sinned?

These nonbelievers claim we are wasting our time worshipping God, yet here they are posting comments on religions in which they do not believe. Is this to try and create mayhem for believers? Or are they subconciously searching for answers?

i have heard that the cross is a demonic symbol, and has nothing to do with the righteous holy spirit....anyone with knowledge.?

1. He did not personally write down and preserve any ideas or correspondence (nor did Jehovah write anything personally, as is the idea with the 10 Commandments.)
2. The stories were not written during his lifetime, and huge chunks of biography are missing (teen years, twenties.)
3. There were many story versions (see the Gnostics) and only a few of them were arbitrarily chosen as canonical by a bunch of "bishops" some 250 years later.
4. The stories were transcribed by hand for 1300 years, resulting in different versions (such as lines added to the end of "Mark.")
5. Who ever came up with the idea the stories were inspired? That's silly because in the earliest years, they were merely considered an "expression" of spirituality. The stories themselves don't claim inspiration.

There are major flaws with religion, so people need to calm down and get more rational before the world has a nuclear war.

I don't say anything to provoke this answer. I'm usually pretty quiet, but when it comes to immoral behavior I tell people I want nothing to do with those things, or actions. I don't swear and they automatically think I'm acting better than them. Whats wrong with this picture?

Why is it so hard for you to believe our ancestors were apes?

I am willing to throw away my atheism belief. The day that all Christians stop committing crime, I will believe in God.

Christians, start to straighten up your people, I am giving you a chance. Stick to your ten commandments (or maybe there's more than ten by now, a little bit of sarcasm, not meaning to harm), sort out those false believers of your God, and remember it's either all Christians are good or no deal. Don't make me wait forever.

I am looking for stories about children in the Bible. Like Miriam and Joseph, who were doing great things even as children. I was wondering what stories you remember that I could teach to children about Biblical children. I'd like to steer away from the famous stories if I can, and find stories they may not have heard of before, but famour stories are also welcome. Thanks for any help you can give me, and if you can give me Bible references with the stories as well, that's be awesome. :)
