Matthew 1:1-16 and Luke 3:23-38

dont just criticize christians... give a reason.

there is only one name which is common to both and that is of Joseph the carpenter, and he should never have been mentioned since he was never responsible for the conception of Jesus

You'd think with all their oil wealth they could have helped out with some humanitarian aid to feed their impoverished kinsman. A plea at the U.N. Not even a thankyou to the western world for seeing and doing what was right by aiding those who were being slaughtered because of religious hatred by none other than christians. I was proud that we stepped up to the plate and took a blind eye as to who they were but what was happening to humanity.

And, why do churches have so many potluck dinners and meals as part of their social networking...isn't this just enticing/tempting people to sin?

Don't tell me you're already there. We're NEVER "there," wherever "there" is. Have you gone beyond just believing? Is EVERYTHING in your life a reflection of Christ? Your actions, your words, your thoughts, your deeds? Are you reaching out, in your actions and NOT just in your words, to others who need to see the love of God? Are you actively serving God in your church (wherever that might be), in your home, your neighborhood, your town, your workplace? Have you submitted to God's plan for you?

I am challenging myself to ALL of these things. I am proclaiming here and now that I AM ready for the next level. I request you all to hold me accountable, and hold yourselves accountable also. Are you ready?

Read my last blog on my 360, if you want, and PLEASE take this challenge. A link to it is on my profile.

One of the answers to my previous question put up this website as an example of Atheists playing games.

Yep, I am serious! By offering education and knowledge, you are supposedly "playing games with people's faith"!

So, why do you think they are so threatened by education?

Calling evil "evil" is no more bigotted than calling water "water." Why are so many people ignorant to what bigotry really is?

I.e it is not the actual event or situation itself it is simply the inner resistance to the event.

For example, if it is raining outside and you become miserable is the rain causing your misery or your inner resistance to the rain.

The point of this is that if we are able to let go of this inner resistance, to just completely accept the rain as a part of what the present moment requires, will there be less suffering in our lives.

I have been trying this recently and have found that a lightness and a bounce has come back into my life. Three weeks ago I hurt my leg and was bedded for a week. I just accepted it as part of the present moment and offered no resistance to the situation. It passed peacefully and I actually enjoyed it as I had a time to read and relax.

Before I tried this I would have been caught up in a state of misery at my fate, stuck in bed for a whole week!

I would have been resisting the present moment.

What do you think?

Iran grabbed up some British troops and all of a sudden our
gas pumps hummed like a bee hive as the prices shot
upward. It seems like the oil companies will use any
excuse they can to blister us...We're not getting along
with Iran anyway....haven't since 1979..I don't see
the connection.

In the book of Exodus after Moses had gone up the mountain the Israelites made a golden calf. God was angered by this and decided that he would wipe the Israelites off the face of the Earth but Moses talked him out of it.

Question 1:
If God had destroyed the Israelites would that have been good?

Question 2:
Since God didn't destroy the Israelites was that good?

Question 3:
If both are good then how?

Question 4:
If only one is good then does this mean that God can make mistakes?

Mine-I became "born again" and subsequently realised that there was so much hypocrisy in the church that it was unbelieveable.I soon realised that if god could inflict supernatural punishments on people years ago, then he could do it now(after all,god doesn't change apparently)but when's the last time an evil christian was struck down or turned into a donkey, etc? The same goes for miracles-it's the having faith that heals them,NOT the god part of it.i.e-if you get healed in a church,it is because of your faith, not because of what you have faith in.

Arabs says Koran was given to Mohhamed that by the way could not read or write across a revelation from a Chritian angel, Mohamed had itself many other "convenient" revelations for him personally brake almost every rule, marrying 10 women including a 6 years old child far away from the puberty needed to aproval, atack and lootering on holly month of Ramadam, Mohamed himself is the only "prophet" that had killed, stole, mutilate and live in polygania, but this is just the begining: Koran promote the creation of virginsmade on heaven for the porpose of the "pleasure"...substaining then than slavery and degradation of women comes from the very own God, Mohamed is considered a feminist (OH MY) cause he defend women not to be beaten in the face as Koran acept women to be beaten slightly...(ah?) though the concept of slightly is a bit confussing for some muslims and even claiming Arab is the language of God (Muslims are the only one who says have superior book and superior language),

If people have nothing to fear and the Bible is made up of all myth and legend. Meaning it's all a bunch of hot air. And Jesus was not real or did not die on the cross (as many muslims believe), why all this anger, hostility & violence towards them and Christians???
