Hi, I'm backup drummer for my churches praise and worship band and we've been all asked to come up with at least one name for us. Our churches name is Emmanuel Bible Fellowship Church which is apart of the Bible Fellowship Church (www.bfc.org). Anyways, I've been trying to rack my brain but I just can't seem to be able to come up with anything too interesting. We are looking for something very catchy (like Building 429, Hillsong or Desperation Band) that would draw people into praise and worship and have scriptural basis. So whatever you can come up with to help me out would be greatly appreciated.

Science goes hand in hand with the great I Am. He created it. Just that many have abused it using it as a door to disprove His existence. Just as some have abused welfare and lived off it for generations. Good idea until abused. Lets keep the answers civil please. Not knocking anyone just why all the bashing? If you talked to us we could explain. This is a weak forum to speak of these things. Peace out..........

I have asked this before but i don't mean going out a preching about it i mean there are people that like to talk about what God. And what he has done for them and how he saved them. What has God for you. he has done so many many wonderful things for me sure there are bad times but with faith in God you will be ok. Don't go on here a say mean things. If you don't like to hear people talk about God its ok but don't be mean to the people who love him and like to talk about him. Then you are no better then the devil.

Recently I met this guy who has become a born again christian. He told me that he believes in the lord only and that he wanted a woman who would feels the same. I like him but, I had to tell him that I am not a devoted christian. I am a person that is more spiritual than religious and that I respect all aspects of all religions because of their teachings. He was upset with me because I have a statue of budda in my house and have chinese characters of prosperity. I have tarot cards and respect paganism. He said to me that they are tools of the devil. Explain to me why so many christians fail to aknowledge all other religions and banish the beliefs of others?

What is the meaning of this?
In Matthew 21:19-21, JEsus spoke of the fruitless fig tree (a Biblical symbol of prophetic heritage) to be cleared after being given a last chance of three years (the duration of Jesus' ministry) to give fruit. In a later verse in the same chapter, JEsus said: "Therefore, say I unto you, The Kingdom of God shall be taken away from you, and given to a nation bringing forth the fruit thereof" (Matthew 21:43). That nation of Ishmael's descendants (the rejected stone in Matthew 21:42) which was victorious against all super-powers of its time as prophecied by Jesus: "And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder." (Matthew 21:44).

One of the signs of the prophet to come from Paran (Mecca) is that he will come with "ten thousands of saints" (Deut 33:2 KJV). That was the number of faithful who accompanied Muhammad to Paran (Mecca) in his victorious, bloodless return to his birthplace.

Our memories seem to favor the big moments (births, deaths, vaccations, that first time skydiving, etc)

Do you think life is more about these big moments or the time spent cooking dinner, playing in the backyard and reading books.

Ok, I am NOT a christian, but i do believe in god and worship him everyday i also do go to church, just thought id say that so no one would think i was being offensive by my questions that follow:

I was at church the other week, and i spoke to a preacher about the tolerance of gays and whether he truely thinks they will go to hell (iam gay)

his response was exactly the same response i give others "let him who has never sinned cast the first stone".

but it still was not an answer, i debated with him and said "the lord says to love one another, not to hate someone" i still got no real answer.

do u think homosexuality is acceptable? i mean we are not hurting anyone, and god did create us all, why would he create homosexuality just to throw us in hell??

also, last week i became very angered by the adam and eve thing, because they always show the same kind of pictures of the two, believing SOO much that, that is what they looked like... and always showing leafs around the

Christians insist that the verse in Deuteronomy 18:18 "I will raise them up a Prophet....." refers to Jesus. Fine.

What about this verse ?
Isaiah 42:1-13 speaks of the beloved of God. His elect and messenger who will bring down a law to be awaited in the isles and who "shall not fail nor be discouraged till he have set judgement on earth." Verse 11, connects that awaited one with the descendants of Ke'dar. Who is Ke'dar? According to Genesis 25:13, Ke'dar was the second son of Ishmael, the ancestor of Prophet Muhammad.
What do the Christians have to say?

Look at these verses
"For with stammering lips, and another tongue, will he speak to this people" (Isaiah 28:11). This latter verse correctly describes the "stammering lips" of Muhammad reflecting the state of tension and concentration he went through at the time of revelation. Another point is that the Qur'an was revealed in piece-meals over a span of twenty-three years. It is interesting to compare this with Isaiah 28:10.

My oldest Brother convinced his wife (which trickled down to their 4 daughters) that organized religion is a hoax. He visited me last week and talked trash about my beliefs the whole time he was here. When he left, I noticed he had saved anti-religion sites on my "favorites." He and his wife are always sending email and talking about the church negatively. How can I handle this situation?

Christians have always refuted claims that Muhammad is not mentioned in the Bible. Take a look at these verses.

In Genesis, ch. 21, Isaac is specifically blessed but Ishmael was also specifically blessed and promised by God to become "a great nation" especially in Genesis 21:13,18.
What happened to this promise by God ? Historical facts state that Muhammad came in the genealogy of Ishmael.
According to Matthew, the genealogy from David to Jesus start with David going down 25 generations to Jocob and then to Joseph. 1:6-16

According to Luke, the genealogy from David to Jesus start with David going down 40 generations to Heli and then to Joseph . 3:23-31

If you Christians have no qualms in accepting this unfounded Genealogy connection from David to Jesus, which differs between the two authors (another controversy, you have to study how the two authors have listed the genealogy connection), then you should not have any qualms accepting the genealogy of Ismael to Muhammad.

Many of the young boys and girls that I work with in our community programs I believe will make fine, honorable citizens one day.
Shouldn't we help guide them away from the "polutions" of the world?
