Nothing that we have from history, geography, or archaeology supports the recent discovery of these coffins. In fact, all the evidence discredits the assertion that the body of Jesus Christ has been discovered. Even Jewish leaders who don't believe in the resurrection say this recently found coffin does not match what we know about the actualy burial place of Jesus Christ.
The Bible makes it clear that Jesus' resurrection isn't a myth or symbol. Instead, it really happened! The hardened Roman soldiers who crucified Him knew He was dead when they took Him down from the cross and laid Him in a borrowed cave-like tomb. But on the third day that tomb was empty, and later hundreds saw Him.
Why is this important? Because it tells us there is hope—hope for this life, and hope beyond the grave. Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies" (John 11:25). This hope can become yours, as you turn in faith to the living Christ and ask Him into your life.

They found the tomb of a middle class Jew named Yeshuah. But since the names found in the tomb were VERY common, it is extremely unlikely that it is THE tomb. Especially considering that it is a secondary tomb, used to house bones, not the whole body. Jesus never saw corruption.
Oh, and Jesus should have been buried in his home town, wouldn't you think? If you are going to make stuff up, as the National Geographic Channel loves to do, where do you draw the line? Crucified people generally didn't GET buried. So why even look for a tomb? And btw, where is the DNA sample that we KNOW came from Jesus???????

You want a serious answer, so I will give you one. I don't really know if they found the tomb of Jesus. All I know is that any tomb that Jesus was buried in is now empty. It is empty because He rose again. We can take comfort in the knowledge that Christ was victorious over death and if we believe in Him and accept Him as our Saviour, we can be victorious over death some day as well.

Where have you been their was a show on the discovery channel about it. And all these people were really getting pissed off. It was interesting basically they found a family plot with people that had the names Jesus, Mary, Mary, Joseph, Jose, and Matthew. They basically tried to say that Jesus was married to Mary and had a kid name Matthew. It was pretty interesting but I doubt it's the tomb of Jesus Christ. Although anything is possible I definitely would keep my scrutiny.

So who exactly are they going to compare the DNA to? They found that tomb in the early eighties and they have no way of knowing whose tomb it is. It just became news because James Cameron is making a documentary on it. Several experts have weighed in that this tomb in no way belongs to Jesus in the Bible.

No because Jesus ascended into Heaven in front of the Apostales. Not only that how do they have DNA from Jesus saliva from the Holy Grail? They have a hair follicle. I know you said keep it serious but them saying they found His tomb is just to ridiculous to take all that seriously. Dont you agree? Peace out............

Jesus Christ resurrected and then ascended to the Father. There is no tomb and certainly no bones or DNA. Anyway, who are they checking the DNA against?

When they buried jesus along time ago, it was another man tomb, you see, they lend it so that jesus can be buried, it was along time ago. i beleve there was a tomb, but he rise for the died on the thrid day, people try to confuse the bible to science, and it dosen't work that way, if you read the bible you can find alot of information, remember the bible is the hardest book in the world to read or understand.

Here ya go... this should give you proof to show that this story has been around for several years. Most likely James Cameron is trying to capitalize on the popularity of the DaVinci Code... anything that is sensationalized in american culture makes a quick dollar. Anna Nicole Smith is perhaps more popular dead than alive it seems, sadly to say
Jesus is risen and scores of people have died staking their lives on His behalf

if they found an empty tomb, guess it's possible, but don't
know how there could be any scientific proof. If they found
something with DNA ? sorry, they just disproved their own
theory
