Kind of the same reason, to help a few people who may benefit from what I have to say.

Also I'm curious what others think. After all, I've been through 3 religions and 4 political belief systems already, I may always change my mind again some day.

Thank you for directing this question at all of us. I've been pretty curious too.
I have many reasons to be here:
1. I like being challenged in my faith (I'm a Christian).
2. I like learning about other religions.
3. I want to help others.
4. It's a good way to waste time, even though I SHOULD be doing other things.
5. This is easily the most interesting section, though I do like spending time in others.

And most of all, it's because I love everyone here, whether I know them personally or not. Hugs for everyone!

I am on here because I cannot get over the lack of knowledge that exists in so many people (on this particular subject).
Even among so-called christians .....there is a lack of the basics.
I do not blame them.
I do, however, point a finger at their religious institutions for having failed so miserably at the only responsibility they have.
And....
If I can make a comment that starts someone thinking seriously ......amen!

Yes it gives me joy to share with others what I know after reading spiritual and philosophy books for the past several years and you need not go through the voluminous books and get answer straight away.

Trying to help alleviate ignorance.
Thus I've answered like 5 people asking about rabbits and eggs and Easter.
You see... Ignorance is a lack of knowledge.
Stupidity is possessing knowledge and refusing to apply it.

I figure if I can alleviate ignorance, then it will really separate the ignorant from the stupid. ;)

In the beginning I was hoping to find out about different religions and interpretations.
Now I'm here for mild amusement.

I haven't been to church for 18 years, and was wondering what Christians of today had to say...it is interesting they have the same rhetoric, stories and biases as always...it's like being transported back to 1950.

It is also fun to ask leading questions to see if you can guess how the fundies will answer.

I am only here for a short season during some changes in my life. To help and laugh sometimes.

To answer questions when I have information that could be helpful, and to try and learn more about other belief systems so I can understand them better.

To get answers to questions I have about different faiths and to answer as well as I can questions about my faith.

OK, OK, there are people I just like to poke with a sharp stick too.
