I am not a religious person but I know God is real. Sometimes I question the stories of the bible, but I know there is a greater being that some how watches over us. I do believe he created us. I don't know if the story of Adam and Eve is true but I believe God is real. How do I know? I have felt him and he has talked to me. Even my six year old tells me that God talks to her. She prays to herself. I didn't raise her to be religious because I don't feel organized religion is for me or her however I feel we can connect with God through prayer. What's your take on this?

Also if you don't believe in God, why do you believe you are here? Do atheists dream? Or is it something chemical.

I may have had some sort of hallucination and thought it was God and maybe my daughter is crazy like me and thought the same way. Wait do you feel love for another person? Or not? Because you can't see love and there is no physical evidence that love really exists so I assume atheists don't feel love. Do you have a cold heartless life based on fact instead of love?

I don't believe because it's trivial easy to disprove the existence of any theistic concept of a divine being.
---------
Why am I here in this channel? Because I'm a spiritual person (though I may define 'spiritual' somewhat differently than most: an awareness of one's scope in the universe and an understanding of the symbols by which we live our lives)
Why am I alive? Because my parents had sex.
--------
False information: Emotions have visible effects from which the emotion can be deduced. Further, one can study the biochemistry of the brain as well as the functioning of the brain (via fMRI) and notice patterns across populations that are associated with love. Both of these visible effects are sufficient proof of some internal structure or functioning that is described as 'love'.
In short -- emotions are simply a biochemical computation in the brain and can be observed directly and indirectly as such.

I don't believe in things that have no evidence for their existance. God is one such thing. There are plenty of others. I would ask you to consider how it is that you think you "feel" god. You must not be using the same definition for the word "feel" as me saying that I can feel the keyboard on which I am typing this, therefore, exactly what definition are you meaning for "feel" god? Likewise I would ask you to explain how it is you think that god has talked to you? Did you hear an actual sound? Many people hear things and there are such things as auditory halucinations. Did anyone else hear god speaking to you? If not then isn't it just the case that you think you heard something? How do you verify that it was god?

i don't think there is if there was a gad why would he let such horrible things happen in the world to children and to Innocent ppl. If there was a god there would be peace and no war and everyone would be free, have the food hey need and the shelter but that's not the case lots of ppl die each day from just not eating so if there was a god whats he doing not too much. maybe there is a god but i would like him to start doing something i believe in ppls spirits not really god sorry

friend, ur love n ur child's love is natural to god. god loves true sincere love. thats what u r doing. religion is a path, to get from this place to god. but it is not the be it n end all. the problem is ppl get attached to the path n fail to reach the destination. end of the day whatever religion we r in, it is our personal relationship with god that matters. n i can well say u have the relationship with God that many in organised religion do not have. keep it, develop the love u have for god, n God will reach out to u. all the best my friend

There is no evidence that there is a god. No evidence essentially means that someone made it up. It is not reasonable to believe in things without any evidence. You would be stuck with every ridiculous thing that human imagination could come up with.
Not believing in god is the same as not believing in Zeus, Odin, Santa, Anubis, the Tooth Faerie, and all the thousands of others since the evidence is exactly the same. I would be no less surprised if someone found evidence of Bacchus than I would be if they found evidence of your god.

God has not asked us for blind faith. He has put into creation His mark. Did you know that all life is marked by Him? It's called chirality. What it means is that all DNA, every tiny part of it has handiness, Right handiness in DNA case. All proteins have Left handiness. The reason that is so amazing is when the the components that make up these two building blocks of life in nature they are always generated on a 50/50 mixture with no way to separate them. Besides this scientific evidence there is prophecy. Here is just a little piece from the Psalms: I am poured out like water, and all my bones are out of joint: my heart is like wax; it is melted in the midst of my bowels.
My strength is dried up like a potsherd; and my tongue cleaveth to my jaws; and thou hast brought me into the dust of death. For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet. I may tell all my bones: they look and stare upon me.
They part my garments among them, and cast lots upon my vesture. Sound like Jesus to you? Does me to and the the written by King David 900 years before Jesus was born. It was 700 years before crucifixion was used and a method of execution... See there is strong evidence. If you have trouble with stories like Adam and Eve, the Flood... Those things can be taken literally like I do or spiritually like many Christians except them. What really matters is excepting Jesus as Lord and Savior. That means trusting His to keeps His promises. He said if you would trust Him He would create in you anew heart and in so doing make you a child of God. He promised that He would bring ALL His children to Himself and so ever we will be with Him.. It's called salvation.. I am not trying to tell you how to live here that is between you and God. I am just giving you His message of Life as He has commanded me to do.. I hope this helps you see some of why I believe... Jim

Personally, I believe in God but I don't practice it because it feels like I'm being restricted from doing things in my normal life.
I believe in the existance but I don't want to be dragged down by following the rules accompanying it. I'm not sure if that's quite right of me to do that though.

I believe in God because it is the conclusion I came to as a young child. As for your situation, make sure you have accepted Jesus' gift of salvation.
Cheers ^_^
