I'm really confused with this issue. Isn't this something exactly like what Egyptian and Greek and Roman mythologies used to say?

Some people have indicated that it's a missinterpretation of the phrase "Sons of god", saying that it really means the descendants of Seth. However it doesn't make sense because the whole book of Enoch deals with these hybrid descendants, the Nephilim.

Are we following just another pagan religion with the bible?

Thanks!

Ignacio

However, we want to do things right this time, but in the eyes of the Lord. We both have been married before. The problem is , is that in our hearts we are married and have been for sometime. We are do to get married in 5 weeks. Yes, we have had premarital sex, but now, not so sure ,if we should hold off. WE have been praying alot, and asking god what is right. My sister who is very religous, has told me, that when two people commit themselves to eachother and are in engaged, whether or not you are married in the eyes of the law with a piece of paper, in God's eyes, you made a commitment to one another and you are considered married according to him. What do you think> Confused here.

I got into a car accident. My car and a 2007 Mercedes Benz collided yesterday. My life is over, my life is over. And now the insurance can't pay for it. I am broke. I don't have any money. I have nothing.

I have a 1997 NIssan Altima, and the guy had a 2007 Mercedes Benz, and his car was wrecked. The police also took my license. I have no license. My life is over, and it is time for me to leave this world.

Can I please end my life?

I find it quite disturbing that many of the self-proclaimed Christians in here are just that: self-proclaimed.

Christianity is supposed to be about love, just as Jesus commanded in Joh 13:34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

But yet the "Christains" in this place don't do that..."love one another" includes ALL people, not just Christians and non-Muslims.

I am a Christian - born Christian, raised Christian...my father is a pastor.

But this must be the saddest thing I have ever witnessed in my life. Not only here, but all over the place.

I have found more peace, love and acceptance within Islam (from the Muslims I know) than in Christianity by the people I know.

So can you truly call yourself a Christian if you can't even obey the Word?

The Israelites/Jews absorbed Egyptian religion during the age of Pharaoh, Zoroastrianism during the Babylonian captivity and Greek religion while part of Alexander the Great's empire.
Perhaps there is not a single new idea not drawn from these.

I always thought it was theists that "killed" their Jesus-guy.

I also thought that it was Christians that killed and persecuted non-believers.... but hey.... I'm just an atheist. What do I know?

If you love your people, you don't keep them in Hell.

When I was a child I had to go to Sunday school. I was told by everyone including my grandmother that 'Jesus died for US!' I was to young then to really understand why he was really executed. Since then I have watched 'the Passion of Christ' I know that he was a martyr and obviously Christianity was formed and named after him, but how did we directly benefit from his death?

Why does our faith sustain us?
Why does an answer to prayer happen; especially when it is hopeless? Is it because we have faith to believe, or is it luck etc.

Do these feelings come from actual events in your life, or just that we feel very strong in our faith? Have we done something personal to you? If so, what?

Which means texts were hand transcribed before that. And what makes you think people would copy things the same way for 1300 years without adding to it or subtracting from it when, generally, they can't keep a rumor straight for even a few days?
Again, IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BE A FUNDAMENTALIST because YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE BIBLE IS.
