Hey, I'm a Christian, I've got a question, I think I already know the answer, but I'm just double checking....I know that it's wrong to have sex before marriage, but what about "external sex"? Y'know, when you still have your clothes on? (is this making any sense?) My bf and I sometimes feel like it's just too long to wait until marriage...I won't have real sex before marriage, as it goes against Biblical principles, but is "external sex" under the same doctrine?

Many can believe in ghosts and the supernatural, but don't want to believe in Christianity - which is all about the "supernatural possession" of a human being by the Holy Spirit of God, which is the "born again" experience . It is through this "new life" that we are walk like Jesus, as we are filled with the Holy Spirit like He was while He was on the earth. Because of this, our lives are changed. This is also why so many of us are so passionate about our new lives in Christ. We are actually living in communion with God.

But some still choose to believe that Jesus was a fictional character in a literary book called the Bible - and at the same time, they visit psychics to find out about their future. They don't understand that the true gifts from God are found in 1 Corinthians 14, including gifts of healings, miracles, words of wisdom, prophecy, etc. Christianity is a supernatural life, but this supernatural is from the Holy Spirit, and He controls it. We just obey His leading.

Examples:
- the Bible says nobody should predict the future. How come the prophet Joseph was a dream reader and a man of God?
- the Bible says Astrology and all kinds of predictions through stars is not good. How come the three wise men that visited Jesus right after his birth were astrologists? By the way, they followed a star, right? Wouldn't a sign in the sky be something wrong according to the Bible?
- the Bible says we shouldn't make contact to dead people. How come Jesus brought Lazarus back from his death?

Just wondering and trying to understand. No offense!

Even if your question is directed to all religions or to theists the way it is phrased is almost exclusively to Christianity.

Is it because you only know their beliefs or do you have a vendetta?

Have you ever seen a delicate child, say with vim and vigor
"No! I don't like it. I don't want to try it!" - All while knowing that,
that particular and scrumptuos treat has never touched their naive lips...
You say, "You've never had this, it is a special"- As you fight to enlighten the child to it's goodness...
About to give up you say "It's good for you!"
Is all hope out the window?
Do you need force fed?
Are you a stubborn impestuous child, working against yourself,
fighting the goodness in your life?

*Jesus Christ, He is good and good for you!*

I don't know if there's anyone here who would know anything about this. I went to a Baptist church when I was a kid and then quit going to church for a long time. Flash foward to me as an adult living in a different part of the country. I've visited a few local congregations over the past few years, and they just seem different. I don't mean this as a slam, I promise. It just seems like things aren't the same. I don't know if it's due to the fact that I'm an adult in a different part of the country or if the whole denomination has just changed. Is there anyone here who could give me a serious and informed opinion?

I was sitting with 3 Christian boys at school the other day. They started laughing and teasing each other and they got so drunk on their laughter that they were staggering while they laughed and high fived each other. I felt a cloud of misty laughter all around us and the Holy Spirit seemed to be tickling them they laughed so hard. They were so loud they were heard upstairs. I just sat and drank in this nectar from Heaven. What do you think ? Ever seen this happen ?

This question was brought up the other day and was wandering what other views people would have on it

If/When we(as a human race) make contact with an alien species; would you try to convert them to your religion/beliefs? What if they come from a society that is polytheist, and represent a Greek/Roman type of belief system, would you be tolerant of their beliefs?

Looking for real/thought provoking answers only.

When you donate your organs they cut them out while your still alive. They don't give you drugs so you can feel as they cut and dice you up. Its painful. The drugs would hurt the organs so they can't give them. Is this right? In the Eyes of God what ever is not of Faith is sin. God looks at this as sin and should the church aprove sin? People who aprove this should read their Bible because they really don't know God. Is it okay to tell some one to go sin god will understand?

And where are we to wait? The Book of Revelation says that after the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf, God seized Satan and bound him for a thousand years. He threw him into the Abyss, and locked and sealed it over him, to keep him from deceiving the nations anymore until the thousand years were ended. After that, he must be set free for a short time. (Rev. 20:2-3) The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. (Rev. 20:5) Blessed and holy are those who have part in the first resurrection. The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reigh with him for a thousand years. (Rev. 20:6) When the thousand years are over, Satan will be released from his prison, and will go out to deceive the nations in the four corners of the earth-God and Magog-to gather them for battle...(Rev.20:7-8)

I know there are some fakes, but I believe some are genuine. Are there any genuine psychics out there who would be willing to give me a free reading via email?

I'd also like to add that I am under 18 years of age, as I know there are some that don't read for under 18 year olds.

First of I am catholic, OK now.... In the Masses that Jesus gave they were nothing like the Catholic church today. The catholic church is very repetitive. Basically the only important part is the first reading, second reading, and the Gospel reading.

If you have never been to a Catholic Mass service please dont answer.

I read on this site www.religioustolerance.org that one of the main differences between conservative and liberal christians is that Liberals tend to regard the Bible as a series of somewhat imperfect documents, which individual authors (and later forgers) used to introduce and promote their own competing religious beliefs. They back this up by saying with: 2 Timothy 3:16-17: "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (King James Version) The Christian Scriptures (New Testament) did not exist when 2 Timothy was written. So, the passage must have referred to the Hebrew Scriptures (Old Testament) only. SO my question is 2 Timothy was in the new testement so how was it written before the christian scriptures? I don't get it, am i missing something?

Well the interesting unknown property about truth, is that it can lie.

"The newest truth about Truth lies in the truth that Truth can lie. C.S. "

I have noticed that the greatest tool of the deception that some media types use, is telling truths but not the whole truth.

So the question:

Is freedom of the press, freedom of the truth ?
