this is a logical definition, in those days they were intuitive "scribes". writers also are mediums by your definition though not all write about spiritual content.

The difference between a Prophet and mediums, oracles, psychics and palm readers is huge. So, before I answer the question you should understand the differences. Prophets are the only ones who are given information and direction through God Himself. It can come in many forms. Prophets also do not expect any real attention or gain from spreading the word. A medium, palm reader and all of the people who want to get money before telling you whatever it is that you want to know are just full of it. So, no, there were no medums writing books of the bible. There was no one other than God telling the people (prophets) what to write down in the bible. Please don't refer to any of the bible's authors as mediums.

The Bible was written by men inspired by God. Read your Bible . Read the books of Exodus, ( Moses and the ten commandments,) Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, ( the disciples of Jesus). Read Revelations( Paul's writings).
The bible was written by prophets according to the Bible. I dont know about Mediums. I only know what I have learned. If a prophet is a medium, its not like what I think of a medium as. What is a medium? This is the question. I only know the Bible was inspired by God. And he guided certain men to write His words down.

No. The Bible was written by average, every day people trying to get along in the world, but with a devout spiritual side to themselves.

Since the OT has harsh things to say about mediums, I'd have to say no.
Leviticus 19:31
'Do not turn to mediums or spiritists; do not seek them out to be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God.
Leviticus 20:6
'As for the person who turns to mediums and to spiritists, to play the harlot after them, I will also set My face against that person and will cut him off from among his people.
Leviticus 20:27
'Now a man or a woman who is a medium or a spiritist shall surely be put to death. They shall be stoned with stones, their bloodguiltiness is upon them.'"

NO!
Let no one be found among
you who sacrifices his son or daughter in
the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens,
engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or
spiritist or who consults the dead. Anyone who does these things is
detestable to the LORD, and because of these detestable practices
the LORD your God will drive out those nations before you."
(Deut. 18:10-12)
2 kings 23: 24 Furthermore, Josiah got rid of the mediums and spiritists, the household
gods, the idols and all the other detestable things seen in Judah and Jerusalem. This he
did to fulfill the requirements of the law written in the book that Hilkiah the priest had
discovered in the temple of the LORD. "
Lev 19:31, "'Do not turn to mediums or seek out spiritists, for you will be defiled by them.
I am the LORD your God. 'I will set my face against the person who turns to mediums and
spiritists to prostitute himself by following them, and I will cut him off from his people.
Isaiah 8:19, "When men tell you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and
mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the
living?
1 chronicles 10:13,"13 So Saul died for his unfaithfulness which he had committed against
the LORD, because he did not keep the word of the LORD, and also because he consulted a
medium for guidance."

Possibly.
Self identified mediums and prophets who truly feel they are communicating with spirits, holy or otherwise, are deluded. There are other mediums and prophets who know they do not communicate with spirits but claim to in order to delude other people.
The bible probably had both types in its beginnings, which were oral. Later scribes who wrote it down were probably just church/temple functionaries.
Still, what it comes down to is there is no spirit world to communicate with, no god on the other side of the firmament, (and, for that matter, no firmament).

No, no, no... spiritual mediums are charlatans, those writing the Bible did have a strong relationship with God and were thus influenced in their writing.

I think the bible was written by those of less than average standing and intelligence. I find nothing holy nor spiritual about the bible.
