Many can believe in ghosts and the supernatural, but don't want to believe in Christianity - which is all about the "supernatural possession" of a human being by the Holy Spirit of God, which is the "born again" experience . It is through this "new life" that we are walk like Jesus, as we are filled with the Holy Spirit like He was while He was on the earth. Because of this, our lives are changed. This is also why so many of us are so passionate about our new lives in Christ. We are actually living in communion with God.
But some still choose to believe that Jesus was a fictional character in a literary book called the Bible - and at the same time, they visit psychics to find out about their future. They don't understand that the true gifts from God are found in 1 Corinthians 14, including gifts of healings, miracles, words of wisdom, prophecy, etc. Christianity is a supernatural life, but this supernatural is from the Holy Spirit, and He controls it. We just obey His leading.

People accept the reality of ghosts, hauntings, other kinds of spirits because they do not threaten their lifestyle, so they can be sort of fun. They make no demands. The Holy Spirit is a direct threat to lifestyle and control.
No one can serve two masters. Without God, your logic tells you whatever is right for you, the individual, is fine. The Holy Spirit will not allow you to live according to your precious individuality, and so it can be viewed as threatening.
Rebellion against God is not new. It's been with us as long as man has been on Earth.

Hmmm...inteeeeeresting question. Problem is this.... Ghosts are considered to be one of two things...a) the disembodies or disincarnated soul or soul energy of a human being (or on occasion animal) or b) an energy imprint recorded on a given area....an event memory so to speak.
From reading I've done, the "Holy Spirit" is nothing more than the inclusion of the feminine that was tossed by the wayside once christianity got underway. In all base religions, there is a balance between the masculine and the feminine. Christianity came along and toppled this idea, but could not completely strip out the concept of balance, hence the "holy spirit".
I dont know about anyone else out there, but the thought of being possessed by anything, be it holy spirit, or disincarnated people does not sound like a fun time to me. The passion you speak of is simply having found a belief system you truly connect with and that balance resounding thru your chackras. It most certainly isnt possession.....

Believing that each of us has our own individual spirit that may or may not roam the earth after our bodies die is COMPLETELY different than believing in a "holy spirit" which created the universe & everything we see.
At least there is some kind of proof that spirits exist... people have seen it... there are scientific means to measure paranormal activity. There is no such thing to determine whether god exists..... except for the rantings of crazy people who claim he speaks to them personally.

The Holy spirit is the manifestation of God's female side. It is the 'working' part of God, the 'meddeling' part if you will. The male side of God is the physical science that created a universe, the Female side of God is the part that governs it.
So the Holy Spirit is all encompassing part of God, where as individual 'spirits' as we know them, are observable and have distinct personalities.

That is a very good question. When folks bring up the ouija board even non-believers acknowledge that it's evil. How can you believe in demons/evil spirits and not believe that there is a supreme Good Spirit (God)?

I hear many so-called christians speak of being born again, but Jeus told us to be born again is to forget everything we where ever, taught, learned or heard concening God and the Prophets, for he the Word of God shall reveal the truth to us.

I don't believe 100% in anything, but I'm inclined to give more credence to things I've either seen scientific evidence for, or EXPERIENCED myself.
That pretty much sums it up.

Because these other spirits people are listening to will not convict them of the sin in their life. That's why they will not accept the Holy Spirit.
