Animals also have sex on the sidewalk. Should we do that, too?
And have you seen that (rather funny) video of the monkey scratching it's butt, and smelling it? Or the one of the monkey drinking it's own pee?
Do you want to do that, to? We are either separate from the animals, or not.

Usually people respond to this by saying "yeah, but some animals eat their youngs and others murder each other in an attempt to dominate, so who cares that animals are gay... not everything animals do is OK". They MISS THE POINT.
Look... those who say that homosexuality isn't "natural" claim that instead of being something inate, it's a psychological problem, a glitch, an error amidst the complexities of the human brain. These people never stop to see that the fact that homosexuality occurs in nature shows that it's NOT a psychological malfunction. If it was just something wrong with how we grew up, how we relate to other people, how spiritual we are, etc etc, then it would be isolated to the creatures with the capacity for abstraction and depth of thought.
Animals don't have our hang-ups. Animals don't have our psyche at all. They opperate occording to their nature and don't care if their butt looks big or if their best friend plans to steal their crush or how the interview will go. They just ARE... and some of them are homosexual.

I think that animals have souls, but free will is what separates us from them , as to why they are sometimes observed having homosexual sex, I believe all creatures great and small, are as God made them, and can provide no better answer for you than that.

All of God's creatures have certain sense of free will -- animals are more instinctual and behave on the level of what they're brains are capable of -- and I don't know why animals do the same sex thing but I really don't think its at an emotional level.

In primates, check out the lower ranking males. Because they often cannot find a mate, they will pair off with another low ranking male to "practice" Young males do this too. All part of troupe behaviour(s).

They don't have either they have instincts they are born knowing what to do. They are not smart enough to call it free will and the god thing I'm not even getting into.

Animals obviously were not given the same knowledge and responsibilities as us humans. They don't knowingly hump animals of the same sex, they just do it because it's their instinct to reproduce. Humans are one of the only species that have sex for pleasure.

animals don't have sex for pleasure like people do (only a few can experience 'pleasure'). they have sex for reproductive purposes and arent really homosexual. a lot of times u will see like cows humping each other this is to display to the bulls that they are willing to mate.

Dogs are dogs. They are not made in the image of God, meaning that they know right from wrong.
They just found one more hole where they can put their thing into. : )

Animals are just animals. They do what they were evolved to do.
Interesting question, though. Let's see how the homophobes respond. Probably some variation of, "Original sin corrupted the whole earth, not just humans."
